Salary increase to £78k, and fully flexible working offered (only need to be in the office for meetings etc). I have the weekend to think about it, but obviously going to take it.

You obviously are as good as you think you are wink

Great result OP, well played.
Probably more to do with the fact that we're already a small team, it would take an age to recruit somebody else, and would probably cost around £15k to do so, with no guarantees that you'll get anyone decent.

I don't feel as good as I probably should. Not sure why. Is it because I have an inkling they might feel as though i've just extorted money from them? Will there be no annual salary increases for the next couple of years for me now?

Let them stew for a week so they don't think you're so over the moon
They want a decision by Monday, so any longer than that will just antagonise them.

Update - Accepted offer on Monday, signed amended terms on Tuesday.

Just want to thank all of you who gave advice. Pretty sure that if I hadn't posted on here, the end result would have been different.

(Now back to lurking!)
