The current [forex market] spot rate on xe.com is 1.33584. At that rate, €3931.00 = £2942.72. What rate would you consider acceptible?

Bear in mind whoever does the exchange will have to turn some sort of profit.

Bit the bullet and just withdrew it to my account.

I regularly use UKforex for stuff like this as I have a business account with them however this customer insisted on PayPal, wont be happening again lol.

Thanks everyone
I would tell the customer that if they insist on using a method of payment which ends up costing you rather than one that doesn't, then they need to increase what they pay to cover the costs.

If it's their decision for their peace of mind, why should you lose out?

An easier way to pay.
Google Wallet makes it easy to pay - in stores, online or to anyone in the US with a Gmail address. It works with any debit or credit card, on every mobile carrier.

Send money in Gmail.
Send friends money with Gmail, as easily as you'd send them a picture.
