Despite all the rain, don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. A short dry spell and wildfires can still take hold.

Normal service has resumed down here in the New Forest. Rain has returned this afternoon. Grey and overcast beforehand. Went for a short trail run before the rain started and it's fairly incredible how quicky the trials have dried out, well it was until the rain returned...

Here in south Wales it’s been raining all afternoon and looks like rain all week. We had one week of sun.

Absolutely glorious spell of weather here in Aberdeenshire - bit of haar in the evenings and early doors but otherwise lots of perfect blue skies, hot sunshine and very little wind. Looks like sticking around for a while too.

Shhh! We shouldn’t tell people it can be this sunny up here, especially as it seems there is a lot of rain still in England this week.

But then again, basking in the sun for lunch two days on the trot has been rather lovely!!

The long range forecast on the BBC isn't far off making it to June, and nothing but raindrops and high teens in sight.

Nothing above 17 for me up to 27th May. Depressing.

Thankfully I’m off to the south of France on 27th!

Sunny spells, temps in the high teens. Only rain we've had was overnight Mon/Tues night.

Seen worse...

It has certainly turned surprisingly nice in Surbiton, stuff is defrosting for the BBQ tonight!

The glorious spell continues in Aberdeenshire. 23 degrees, no wind and barely a cloud in the sky for days now. Bbq again tonight.

Shorts have been on today and laundry on the line. A really pleasant day in west berks. Sorry to those who aren’t so fortunate.

Actually it's turned out to be bright 18 degrees in Edinburgh now. So much better than it started off this morning. I hope it lasts !

It's clouded over here, but the BBQ is lit and the chicken slathered in tikka marinade... lick

The thunderstorms on Saturday evening gouged a 6in channel in my dad's drive and washed 10 wheel barrows of gravel to the bottom of the drive.

Heaviest rain we've ever seen in the UK for about 5 minutes.

Rain too in NE Suffolk. Not to worry, as it's meant to relent at 3pm.

Or 5pm.
