It would all depend on the day for me, but it sounds like a fantastic idea!

I would be interested in this.

Long way to travel, but it's for charity (should be more than £10).

One of my favourite books I've read in the last year is 'Eight Lives Down' by Chris Hunter about his time doing bomb disposal and his tour in Iraq. Link to book

yes a very good read - as was his other book 'Extreme Risk'

there may be ways of arranging something similar for those that would find it a long haul wink

sadly I'm way too far away to even consider it - but have fun those that go, assuming it can be set up. Blowing things up is always fun, especially if it is done by the professionals! thumbup

If we do manage to get the explosives demo could we hide this thread from Emmsman? smile

Unusually for one of my pub ideas, this one seems to be a goer. So we'll do it.

If we do the explosive demo then a weekend will be best as we need to do it in daylight. If not then a school night if that suits. I'll get on to this on Monday - instead of doing any proper work.

Re donations. I think the 'recommended' donation be £25, but thats all it is - a recommendation. I wouldn't want to exclude anyone on the grounds of cost and I'm sure there are those who would be willing to donate more which would even things up. A grand would be a nice target to go for, which could be split evenly between H4H and RBL.

Been at Northolt for three years. Only ever visited Chester. Never been posted there, although we do have a team there.

This is obviously an idea that has legs, however let's not get ahead of ourselves with lists etc.

Bruce needs to clarify with his bosses whether this is possible, and then talk to Garlick about whether PH want to be involved with organising/promoting it.

In the meantime I'm closing this in line with policy regarding charity threads.

Watch this space.
