Sending a looooong parcel
Discussion
I have sold a pair of roof bars on a popular internet website. I used their "suggested" postage costs of £16.
Now I have come to send the thing off, I can't find anyone who will deliver this parcel for anywhere near £16.
It is 10KG, and measures 180cm long (and is <40cm x 40cm high/wide). Everyone seems to have a max length of 150cm.
Any ideas anyone?
They are going from Fife to nr Stafford, if it makes any difference.
Thanks.

Thanks, but their cheapest is still £38.39 + VAT Nowhere need the "suggested" P&P rate. Grrrrrrr
Looks like you can use City Link and other carriers without an account as advertised on Ebay, maybe of use to you:

Still looking though, would love to get it to £16!

A mate sent someone a plastic sword in the post and it worked out cheaper to put it diagonally across a big box than sent it in a long narrow box as that as it reduced the longest dimension (eg 75x75x75 instead of 100x20x20). Crazy
Brilliant. I am deffo going to use that as an interview questionGassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
