...I'm not the only one to get irritated by non descriptive thread titles on PH?

You have to click in to read the whole first post to see if it may have any relevance or interest for you.

I've seen quite a few of these pop up recently and I wondered if it pisses anyone else off?

A "What Car" thread cunningly disguised as something else [interesting]

Or someone who starts with "This isn't a "What Car thread" but actually it is.

Teaser titles, the certain mark of an attention seeker/time waster.

It's easy. Avoid any thread with a title that ends in an ellipsis.

Even the writer couldn't be bother to finish their thought.

I see an awful lot of marketing email subject lines nowadays using this device in an attempt to create 'intrigue'.

No I quite like it. Roulette threads, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

True, although 99 times in 100 the thread will be rubbish. The OP realises he will need to trick people into the thread in order to get views as the subject matter is either obscure or mundane.

Of course, this one was worth clicking on though.
