Following the manly kit thread I thought I would start a thread on something all real men should have; impressive scars and/or wounds.
To start, I have just had an operation on a repeat dislocating shoulder.
Shoulder wound with a load of metal staples..

Close up..

and the wire you can see in the first one is a used to drain blood from the wound into a bottle, like so..

Anyone else?

Anyone got any idea how they remove the metal staples in the above wound? I've had stitches before but this is the first time I've had staples. Ive got visions of the staple removers from school being used, and tearing my flesh to pieces...

Tim Holland - On the mend noe mate smile In at 7am, out 1pm the next day, no pain at all smile However, I had an epidural type situation, i.e. there was a line of anasthetic going directly into the nerve cluster at the top of the shoulder, numbing everything. For two days I was completely numb. Now, its a bit sore on the wound, and tender from the bruising but nothing that a paracetamol won't cure.

Your'll be fine. Unless your Doctors call H. Shipman...

Nolar - Love your honesty and very iterested in the whole thing. I applaud your determination to be happy and the fact you achieved it. Well done.

Oh, and did the Focus live up to the hype, as a Ford connoisseur?

Close between Nolar and the guy who died. Dying is manly, bocoming a woman is very brave and it made her happy so is to be applauded but manly? Hmmmm.

How did you die, if you don't mind? That'll settle it, unless there's a last minute entry...?

Timmy, yes mate mine was from a shoulder injury (I started the thread, pics on page one!).

By the way, I was given the all clear by the doctor today to live a normal life. My operation was a complete success, as was the physio and so it's back to the gym!

woohoo
