Yesterday the girlfriend, after 4 1/2 years of living together (mortgage and all) decided to dump me. I thought she was the one.

One of her statement/questions (you know how women do this) was "I think you actually prefer your car to me".....

....well how else was I supposed to answer that!

Well I was already looking at upgradng to an e92 M3 or a 997 911 Carrera (possibly XFR but haven't driven yet) so with a bit more cash available I might be able to go for something more exotic!

As for being worth it... She was until some events around 6 weeks ago which have made things very complicated - I have chosen to put up with it while she gets stuff sorted but have my eyes wide open as to the sort of person she's been recently. Lets call it a period of grace It's kind of getting to crunch time though. I'm by no means perfect myself.

Back OT I put her on my car insurance last week and lend her the bloody thing so at least she can't dig at me about that!!

If you can put up with being dictated to on a whim (once a week), and walked all over (letting her call all the shots), then you're definitely the one who has the greatest need of a head-reading.

There is no begging Dave. If things don't get dealt with shortly I will walk away knowing I did what I could. In the whole scheme of life a couple of months of st is pretty meaningless to me. My eyes are wide open but it's way more complicated than I would wish to go into on a public forum. If it wasn't I'd normally agree with your comments entirely and would have done the off a while back
