I just dropped a plug into water (trying to fill the iron up!). I've taken the fuse out and tried to dry where I can reach, but water had gone inside.
How long before I can plug it in again?!

It'd taken me a week to work up to doing it tonight!!

It's one of these new fangled plugs you can't take off, hence why I can't get to it all to try and dry it properly. Might try the hair dryer though

BAH, I do have a nice bottle of rioja in the cupboard.....best play it safe!

The word "should" doesn't fill me with confidence! Surely I can't have done lasting damage as there was no electricity going through it at the time?

I've had it out all day near the de-humidifyer so fingers crossed I wont blow the house up tonight!

Well I'm still alive, the iron is hot and the lights still work!
