Broadbean.... Thankyou. Kind words and well recieved.
The PistonHeaders that have donated both by donation and in postings should hold their heads high, look in a mirror and say to themselves "today, I made a difference"

Take care my friend

We are up to £3590 now and 260 people joined Sues group on face book. As always I would appeal to everyone to just give as much or as little as they can.............It will be amazing to be able to give this amount of money to such an amazing place. Sad day today as its 4 weeks to the day and date that Sue passed away.......A fitting day to donate.

Regards
Steve.

Morning all. 116 donations totaling 0ver £3500.00........Great so far but how many members on PistonHeads??...........This is a cause that deserves huge support. I was speaking to the fundraising team at Manorlands this morning and just that one hospice needs to raise £1.1 million pounds in charitable donations a year just to continue doing what they do. Thats not including much needed property maintainance or unexpected costs. Please continue to support this charity.........If all gave £2.00 it would run to tens of thousands of pounds. Its that simple. Come on guys and lets get behind this for one big push. Be able to say that you made a difference.

This isnt about me. Its not even all about Sue. Its about how many of us willneed these people and places. We all think we will live forever right?? If im next i know where i want to be after seeing what they do...................

Sincerely

Steve

Steve, I responded to your post on the first page, unfortunately, it was deleted along with an imbicilic comment some total idiot made frown

Anyway, I donate monthly to the cause, as do a few others on here; sorry, but I cannot afford to make a donation twice at the moment frown

Steve, what you have achieved so far is excellent in such a short time. These are very difficult times financially, and am sure more people would love to support your cause. The good thing is that you got your wife's appeal out in the public (plus the facebook group) and raised a fair amount of cash in the meantime.

Good luck with reaching your target, and best wishes to you for the future.

Neil.

To others whom i offended with a previous post it was meant sincerely and not in the way it was recieved. My appologies for all it offended but was not meant in that way. Post closed before I could reply. I take my hat off to all that spoke their minds. Fair play to you.

Steve.

Hey we are all behind you........
the missing bit wont ever go away, you have to learn to grow with it and accept it.
when someone touches your life like this its forever.
dont wish your life away, she is here now for you,and in the next life it will be physical again.
i waited 26 years for my soulmate to return. and i realise i will at some point miss him again, only comfort really is that he is part of me and will never truly go away.

Jessica......Not often do people relate to how I feel as much as you. When Sue and me met it really was love at first sight. I had been away from work for several months and on a brief visit before starting back I saw Sue. I already knew that they had started an assistant for me so was at an advantage but Sue didnt know who I was. This sounds really corney I know but when our eyes met 20 yards appart down the showroom we both lit up. It was magical. She had to ask who it was she was looking at and one of the staff told her it was the Steve she had heard so much about. We were inseperable from that first meeting. We always said that this mortal lifetime, however long or short a time it was to last was only the start. We belong together as without each other we felt incomplete. She is here by my side always. I truly know that we will be together again and then we can never be parted again............Thank you for understanding.God bless you .

Thank you to all so far. The fund has now broken £4000 which is fantastic. We have also after many phone calls and e mails located a source for 3/4 profiling beds ( Full on medical care beds.) These are 4 feet wide which would allow two people to share.........I have a meeting with the Palliative care services manager and the fundraising team plus staff nurses at Sue Ryder care this coming week. Un known to me until yesterday, Sue Ryder have been running a bed appeal through the first 1/4 of 2009. They need £175,000.00 for 135 beds through their 14 hospices nationaly. Our appeal on Pistonheads ends with the Tatton Park Show in Cheshire at the end of May......... Hope to see people there. Please keep passing on the charity site details and encouraging donations.

Sincerely
Steve. ( Mad Mitch.)
