well I'm on day 8 now. bit worried something's wrong as I'm not finding it too hard.
my flexion is good, extension nearly straight, hammy a bit tight, doing my physio and ice etc. my bruising isn't bad at all compared to photos I've seen on the net
I could easily walk without the crutches if I wanted to? is this a sign the graft is fked or just something that happens? I'm not in a brace.
would phone my surgeon but it's bank holiday was hoping the resident knee surgeon would be around!

woop woop,
Well im recovering! its Day 23 now and still on crutches, still in some serious pain occasionally, but apart from that not too bad. The problems are physio hurts, and its hard work, in the mornings its very stiff and painfull and its very hard not to do too much. but im getting there

I'm glad to hear it's going well, how long will you have to do the physio? I heard something about 6 months or so is that likely?
im doing wk 1-10 = twice a week
wk 10 + = once a week or fortnight
He reckons i will be jogging again in about 3 months and should be back to normal in march / april

Seeing as this was a Rugby injury originally, I seem to recall that your surgeon also sorted out Richard Hill's knee.
That being the case I think you might be in good hands.
Good luck with it anyway.
I think my surgeon fares is one of the top guys, Andy Williams is the famous one who does all the sportsmen, no idea who fares has done, apart from me and a few mates. That being the case I think you might be in good hands.

it feels pretty secure now already, just my muscles in the leg are tiny compares to my good leg and its going to take a long while to build them back!!
Off the crutches now, doing gym/physio every day which my physio sets me on the Monday then I see him on the Friday too.
Only cardio I can do really is bike so gettings fatter by the day. I was about 76 when I did it and I'm 84 now. . .
Nearly straight, few deg off.
The more stretching and exercise I do the better is feels, then chuck my cryocuff on for the evening, starting to see there might be and end to this! Week 7 now

so i had physio with a new person as my guy is away at the paralympics, and either one of them is st and the other is great, or there are many different ways to treating this kind of thing.
physio 1.
usually 5 min's on cross trainer,
then usually 4 exercises, 3 x 8 on each (all of which i could do on my own in the gym)
then a bit of massage at the end, like 7 min's.
physio 2.
feels my leg a bit,
does a load of sports massage but so hard its unreal painful.
few stretches again so i die with pain.
feel great after..
the thing is i feel better after physio 2 than 1, so can I ask physio 1 to incorporate some of the things physio 2 has done, or is it bad manners to switch completely, or mix and match. ?

April now;
all going well, my leg muscles are bigger than before the injury and I am fine in the gym etc
can cycle 50km no worries, my running isn't great still but that will
come.
still the odd bit of pain if I've been doing something hard
physio every 3/4 weeks now just to sort out and strains and pains
