How much do you pay for your gym membership?

Do you think you get value for money?
£45 and no because in two years I've only ever used the shower after cycling to work, I've never been in the gym - despite that, they still say "have a good workout" every time - silly.Surely there must be a cheaper way of getting a shower.

£9.99 a month at Pure Gym.
Tend to go after 9pm and it's usually pretty quiet, often just 1 or 2 other people there. Good being open 24/7...just had an email saying its open on Xmas day too!?
Also it's just opened too so it's all new equipment.
Have been peak time a few times and it does get some meatheads and also a few mirror posers in. Can't complain for the price though

£72/month La Fitness, including a hired locker for £15. Closing early January to be transformed into a PureGym for £33/month, should be opening mid-April. Nice saving but going to miss having a swim and a steam?
Anyone know of a half-decent gym reasonably near Marylebone station with pool & sauna/steam? Only others I'm aware of are Fitness First and Seymour Place.

£44 a month, central London gym with swimming pool.
No one ever there and its like its my own private swimming pool most days I use it.
I think its good value.
That does sound good.No one ever there and its like its my own private swimming pool most days I use it.

I visited a DLL with tennis courts. Everything was £109 (about £80 without the tennis). I'm not interested in the classes, the cardio machines or the pool. I think the salesman died on his feet today as he trotted out his standard spiel to amaze. I struggle to see how anyone can be paying £80 for the pool, gym and classes tbh. Ok, it's only £20 a week but compared to Nuffield with similar kit at £60 and smaller gyms without a pool going for much cheaper rates (eg 20 a month), I'm unconvinced it's value for money. I'm trying to convince myself it's worth it.
Also, loads of kids running around made it feel the opposite of exclusive. It was like a Harvester on a Sunday afternoon.

That was my exact take on it, I was willing to spend up to £200 a month for gym membership and wanted somewhere with a pool, steam, classes and sport massage facilities. But when I visited, at the time that id be using the facilities, this 'exclusive' gym had unsupervised 5-6yos running around, mothers screaming at their children etc etc. When I explained to the chap trying to sell it to me that it didn't seem very exclusive, that the facilities didn't appear very well maintained, it was clearly understaffed and that the café shouldn't really be serving pie and chips, I was asked to leave...
Banned from a DLL. I shall have to try to match that after my 14 day trial is up.
I pay £17 a month at a PureGym-style place.
No pool, steam, etc but loads of equipment and reasonably local.
I only really use the treadmill, and then only during the winter, so it works for me.
The only issue is that it's rammed in January (like all gyms) but they seem to have no limit on numbers. This makes parking an issue but, in about 3 years of going there, I've never, ever had to wait for a piece of cardio equipment.

£3 per month (£36 per annum)
Huge and well stocked weights room with serious gear for powerlifting, two huge rooms with ropes, pulleys and frames, crossfit area, large well stocked cardio room upstairs, separate room for wattbikes, large separate spin room, etc
The joys of being a civvy but being able to use top of the range military facilities.
