Have been doing a 3 day, twice weekly split since the New year, which I intend to stick to for at least 4 months. I think it is the most balanced routine I have done thus far, TBH, so see no reason to change it anytime soon. Every muscle group gets hit twice a week. Compounds always stay the same, as they are the bedrock of any routine, but the lesser isolations and secondary compounds, I sometimes change (except for wide grip pull ups and close grip bench press)Is any part of your arm lagging behind?

Nothing's really lagging, it's just that I am surprised my arms have stayed the same size for around 4 months, even though I am lifting more weight with more reps than 4 months ago...

Others may know more Chris but my opinion based on experience and education on the subject is that from memory you're what, under 80kg and medium height? I doubt you'll get 'big' arms at that weight and kcal intake must be modest.
You should also be aware that to move from 16 to 17 is a significant increase in mass. Something like 20% bigger. There is a formulae but simply think about a pizza. a 16" pizza vs a 17" pizza is a big difference. Dunno why i thought of pizza! lol
The math is 16 to 17" is 6% but the volume of muscle (Sphere) must increase 18% which is significant. I ran the precise calc

i think measuring with a tape is pretty unscientific. If you're stronger and look better that is what matters. Neither one of us will ever sport 19" guns mate. My biceps are pretty full. Not like DDs, more like MC's but I'm 80kg (5ft 8) at the moment. Nice drainpipe vein. In fact I'm naturally vascular. After the summer holidays I'll take my weight up to mid 80's slowly to see if i gain any muscle. I'm 46 myself so will be interesting. Im not saying I've got great genes but there is something in our family. My brother who is a lot taller than me 6,3" weighed 114kg when he was 17 and held various junior weight lifting records. He could C&J 165kg which is pretty good for a kid with 2 years training. My great uncle was a track/field athlete at Olympic level. Ive weighed 92kg before when i was late 20's, no way would i go that high now.

I know, at least, not naturally..I am not so vascular, I seem to have quite 'thick' skin and veins rarely show, except when fully pumped. I am the tallest in my family by quite a margin. My dad is 5'4", mom is 5'1", and one of my sisters isn't even 5'! I guess I'm trying to make the best of my bad (Ewok) gene pool.
A 165kg C&J! And here's me happy with a C&P at 85kg! lol
when we were kids it took me and my older brother to deal to the younger one and even then the outcome wasn't certain. and no surprises he was kicked out of school for fighting and the fact that when he got caned for doing so he would look over his shoulder and laugh at the red faced teacher whipping him, saying 'is that all you got'
Agree with what Burwood says, really to gain any extra size is going to be difficult at 75kg, and 16.5 inches is very good for your bodyweight anyway. A muscular 18 inch arm is actually extremely difficult to achieve if you're sitting under 200lb. There are not many people drug free that can achieve that measurement. Not saying it can't be done though

I figure 16.5 would be the limit for someone my size, and perhaps 'roids to get to 17 and above. I shall see how I progress during the next 4-5 months.I think the problem is that goals change, as I have said before. When I first started, I just didn't want to look like Jabba the Hut anymore (That's what my step-kids called me..), weighing over 90kg, but once one goal is achieved, another goal replaces it, with each goal harder than the last to achieve. But I guess that's all part of the fun. It's easy to forget where you started from...

Cheers Chris - I hit a sticking point at 17" (tho i was 17) nothing i did would make them grow past that, then i hit them with negatives and reverse curls only for ages which kik started them again, might be worth a try? Since i was 19 Theyve always been 19 but tbh its mostly due to triceps i think, theyre probably smaller since the fat reduction but i doubt by very much.

Quite, I don't think I could go bigger naturally (even if I wanted to) though I am now 199lb so sitting under 200 Not measured since I was comparing with dd when they were 19 & they're now 18.5 but I'm ok with that as no strength / muscle has even lost, front shot just now, rear shot before lost fat but you can see where my inner tricep makes up allot of my arm size, they've always dominated so hardly train inner head.

I know the triceps make up a larger percentage of the arm mass - CG Bench Press is always my first Triceps exercise because of the weight used.
I guess one drawback to having arms proportionally larger than the rest of the body is that they'd be too dominant in other exercises, making it even more difficult to target different muscle groups, back and chest especially.
Anyway, no arms today, just legs and lower back to end the week on..
(Although I may give Reverse Curls a go at the end, never tried those before)

To go from an 18" to 19" arm means increasing muscle mass by about 15% - not an easy thing to do!Not measured since I was comparing with dd when they were 19 & they're now 18.5 but I'm ok with that as no strength / muscle has even lost, front shot just now, rear shot before lost fat but you can see where my inner tricep makes up allot of my arm size, they've always dominated so hardly train inner head.

Absolutely, even though i had them at the very early on and they pretty much stayed the same size for the next 25years but over that time they diefinitely changed in terms of appearance by training to gain width, length and peak (still lacking in the latter) with all the different isolation excercises but loosing the puppy fat along the way, so The facts are that the actual muscle took 25yrs natural training to get where they are today, yes, allot of effort, thought & perseverance onlky really possible if your captivated by the growth and development of the body rather than vanity.It was much quicker and easier to loose the recent 1/2" thats for sure
Personaly i think measuring arm size is a bit like measuring a car by 0-60 performance, its more in the detail and individual muscles should be caliper measured if you're that into it, i've not been really until i started shedding the pounds for tomorrows race sting it tbh!

I'll stick to my fatceps
I'm going to lean up a little again but for some reason I just happily sit at 150kg.
OK, another good workout, and another BP, this time on Squats.
Squats:
6x5 reps (up to 140kg)
1x4 reps with 150kg
1x1 rep with 160kg - a BP. Got down passed the point of no return and managed to get back up, although hit and miss for a few moments..
1x6 drop set with 130kg
DB Static Lunges - 4 sets of 12-10 reps
Hamstring Curls - 4 sets of 18-12 reps
Calf Raises - 5 sets of 15-12 reps
SLDL - 3 sets of 10, 6 & 8 reps
No Good Mornings, felt my lower back had more than enough for one day.
Hung upside down for 5 mins, and then 3 sets of Reverse Curls, to see what they feel like.
Will probably do really crap next week, after this week being so good..
