Hmm, still on 14.11, however, BF is around 20 percent and muscle percentage has gone up over 38 for the first time, which puts me at the high end of normal for muscle mass, assuming the scales are anywhere near accurate, mention it to my wife and she starts telling me what to do and I need to stop doing weights and eat less, I am eating as little as I can most of the time and I am not stopping doing weights.

over 39 percent is considered high, I must be gaining muscle, certainly feels like it.
How tall are you Jacko? In your pic you look in very good shape for 14'11?

Great transformation smile

Thanks, 6 ft bang on, still overweight though, still have flab that I want to drop, but I think there is realistically a stone to still lose, have lost three but reckon I have gained a few pounds of muscle in the last six months and wasnt weedy before, I think at mid 13 stones I will be as lean as I ever need to be or can be without going ridiculous.

Scales say 20 percent BF, so 20 percent of 207 pounds is 41 pounds of lard, 15 percent would be 30 ish pounds, takes me to 14 stone but think need to go a bit lower.

Wow, well I am surprised! I'm 6foot, weigh 14'11, and I don't look anywhere near as slim.

I'd guess my body fat much higher!

Well I have to confess after a very good January where I went from 102kg down to just over 97kg I fell spectacularly off the wagon and slipped back into old habits (namely my dry January didn't continue any further than about the 4th feb and I also got back into the biscuit tin at work) and this morning I weighed 99.9kg.

I intend on getting back on to it from today, I have shown that I can lose weight fairly easily if I put my mind to it, so lets see what I can achive between now and end of June.

I'm surprised, too. I'm also 6 foot, and weigh not much over 13 stone, and don't look anywhere near as slim. You must have a decent amount of muscle smile

I had a very snug Gym T shirt on, actually was 14.8 that day (14.11 was post weekend biggrin ) was in the changing room at Decathlon and sent the photo to my missus as a joke, maybe it is a bit flattering, gut is miles smaller than it was, still some there though and a bit of fat under my arms, my top half has got quite muscled and I wasnt weedy before and I have Wide Shoulders and big thighs from cycling, am 20 percent BF which is higher than I would like but fits into the OK range, especially when you have muscle as well, am at the high end of the normal muscle percentage range and about to go into high with another 1 percent.

Am happy with where I have got to but it is spurring me on to get better than I have ever been, easy to say am too old but have more time now and a lot more knowledge, may as well and never too old to improve your health.

Down to 126.2kg this morning so just shy of 11% lost from my starting weight smile also running longer and faster than I have done and managed 4K in 25 minutes which although not lightning I'm happy with as at the start I could barely run 1k without stopping

Finished at 87kg (13st 10) - target was 82kg

Started at 92kg so 5kg lost (11lbs)

Didn't really get on it til mid Feb so fairly happy overall

I've lost 3 stone since Jan 2016 so I'm in my last stone to lose really, much harder to shift than the other stones lol

Well done everybody!!

Is there a new one for this Q?

Decided that something has to be done...

Final weigh in of the quarter -> 87.5kg.

For a total loss of 9.8kg, or 1.54 stone. Or 11.2% of starting weight. At a rate of 1.7 lbs/wk (mixing the kgs and lbs!).

I reckon I could have done another 1-2kg if it hadn't been for a birthday party and a weekend away with work.

Still, a week to go for my own target of the start of the easter holidays. If I can get it down to 86-point-something i'll be satisfied.

Final weigh in of 73.3kg. Not what I wanted, but given almost no attention paid to food or exercise during March, I'm pleased I stayed below 75. I'm not training properly for an event in July, so will be less focussed on weight and more focussed on good results from exercise. Less circuits and more long runs for me.

Well done everyone.

So my challenge starts today, joined the gym and thought it an idea to get a baseline weight. I've never been sub 88 kg's above the age of 15, when i was under 90 back in the last year of uni I looked a little gaunt so 90 is my first target, hopefully a good steady pattern of weight loss and restricting my food intake will get me there! (not what I eat, just the quantity mainly) - hoping to be in good shape by my next beach holiday, September or December depending on cashflow, too late for Japan next week I fear!

Had a bit of a wobbly weekend food wise, final weigh in 99kg, down from 111.9kg at the start. Total loss 11.6%.

Time to get back on the wagon for Q2 challenge - are we having a separate thread?

Q1 was a total unmitigated failure on my part with regard to weight.

I need to get a grip.

Am back on the bike to work everyday now, hopefully that, no compensation eating, and being careful should see some results.
