So I have seen a doctor and trawled the internet with no luck and now I seek sage advice from Pistonheads:

A few hours (6 or so) after eating chicken on SOME occasions (perhaps once a year/18 months) I get crippling stomach cramps which comes in waves, it will wake me up at night and I will sweat from the pain which is centred at the bottom of my sternum. It ONLY happens after eating chicken and eating will make it disappear in minutes but only for a while. I don't believe it is food poisoning related as eating makes it stop and it will then go on for a week or two before subsiding. There is no D or V but it feels like either would help!
Dr suggested anti-acid medication which did not touch it.
NSAIDs do not touch it.
I thought H. pylori but why the chicken relationship?

Yes, I know - I could avoid chicken but I'd rather know the cause and fix it!

Any thoughts?

Maybe the spices or sauces used in SOME occasions?

Nope, don't do spicey. Even some Kormas have blown my head off (I know: what a p*ssy!)
I can and will eat anything though as long as it is not spicey and the only allergy I have is to cats (Perhaps it was not really chicken!!)

I thought I had food poisoning way back in July from some raw fish - many months later ie now, it is now diagnosed as chronic pancreatitis, oesophagitis, lesions in the stomach, in effect , my insides are shot to pieces.

I'd suggest you ask your GP for blood tests ( ESR was the one that caused the concern for me) - I also had to provide stool and urine tests too - ask for these as well if they're not automatically given.

Sooner the cause is found, the sooner you can be fixed.

Jesus Condor that sucks! Hope the prognosis is more promising.
Thought your name was familiar- was just reading about cooking pheasant!

I'd suggest you get your GP to actually do some tests - mine didn't because he believed my self diagnosos of food poisoning. If it had been diagnosed way back when it all started I wouldn't be in the mess I am now.

As a btw - I love pheasant, and I can eat it smile

Ive had a funny stabbing pain around my belly button for a week or so.... think I'll get it checked out if it doesn't dissappear soon.
