Your Training Goals for 2015
Discussion
Figured it won't be 2014 for much longer!
I've been training for strength since October after an 8 week transformation course which is probably the best thing I ever did. In august I was a fat, inflexible, unhealthy mess and a few months later I'm in good shape and have got a serious buzz for powerlifting.
Current PBs are 160kg deadlift, 80kg bench and 140kg squat at 78kg.
Aiming for 210kg deadlift, 110kg bench and 170kg squat by the end of March. This would put me around the middle of the pack for the 82.5kg raw class in the Irish Drug Free PL comps in August 2015.
Still enjoying newbie gains at the minute so I'll need to see what happens between now and then before setting any longer term goals, but in a dream world I'd like a triple bodyweight deadlift (240ish kg), 130kg bench and 200kg squat by the end of next year.
I've no doubt progress will slow at some stage next year, but I'll be making the most of it before it does!
What are your own aims for next year? Anyone else working towards a PL/Bodybuilding meet, marathon, triathlon, etc?

I am running London and Paris marathons in 2015, my pb (45 year old) is 3.45 and I hope to drop a bit lower.
Been doing 5x5 since July, been diagnosed with disc degradation so taking it a bit easy, deloaded a bit. Feeling much better now, loving the lean muscle I have put on. Just keep pushing 5x5 for the next few months, see how far I can take it and still get gains.

Sub 15% bf (which I'm working on)
350kg+ floor deadlift
380kg+ 18" deadlift
300+ squat
160kg+ log and any other OH
200kg+ bench.
Current best:
300 floor
320+ 18" (haven't had chance for true 1RM)
240 squat raw - need to try wraps
125kg log
180kg bench.
Been ill for 4 months of this year setting me back and now the diet is too but I like to aim high

Ok... I've had a think.
Not that worried about weight. I'm currently 98kg - wouldn't be that bothered if that didn't change - but would like to see BF move from 19% to 15%.
Of the core lifts, I'd like to achieve (for 5 reps in each case!):
Bench: 130kg (currently 85kg)
Squat: 170kg (currently 130kg)
Dead: 200kg (currently 140kg)
OH press: 100kg (currently 55kg)
The latter has the biggest gain, but I'm really keen to improve that one.
I also got some boxing gloves for Christmas, so... I guess I'd also like to be 2015 WBA Heavyweight Boxing champion

10% or less body fat. More out of interest really. Might be my last chance in life to reach such a goal, before I become a fat heifer.
However I manage it, something not too dissimilar to this (though not sure I'll get to 10%). Feels like close-ish to being last chance saloon at not being flabby and would like to be there once, even if it probably won't be for all that long.I am hoping that by May, which will be the first anniversary of turning my body around from fat, pork pie and sausage roll for dinner body, to getting trim and fit, I will look a little different to what I did a year ago. I have already gone from a 36" waist to 30".
The weight of lifts for training isn't so important, but in 2015, as long as I get no real injuries, I would be hoping to:
Squat - now 140kg, would like to get to 160kg without too much effort.
Bench Press - beating my 1 rep best of 110kg with perhaps 120-130kg, which would be more than I managed in my teens.
Deadlifts - started a couple of weeks ago and manage 100kg, am hoping 150kg - but I will not push/strain myself too much for this, too dangerous (am 48 and only 5'7"), but will slowly build up the weight.
Hope to keep my 12 stone weight, but get rid of the remaining fat and convert the weight to muscle.
