So I have been experiencing stomach pains off and on for the last 4 months, and today I finally went to the doctors, to be told it is most likely my Gall Bladder frown

I have to wait 3 to 4 wks for a scan to confirm, and mean while just take painkillers when needed.

So I am just wondering, has anyone had problems with their gall bladder, and what they did to dull the pain, apart from popping pills. So far all that seems to work for me is rocking back and fore like a numpty, which is'nt very practical for work hehe

Mates wife had this, they had a bit of a think about it then whipped her gall bladder out.
Done by keyhole surgery, but if they have trouble they reserved the option to cut her open.

While she was waiting, she was told to avoid

1. Fatty food
2. Alcohol
3. Spicy Food.
I've been told to avoid nothing, as food does not seem to be making any difference. It seems to be more stress related, which made me wonder if it was actually an ulcer.

Took it out? I thought the problem was gall stones which can be laser'd?
I was told it could be either...if stones, then yes lasered. But it the gall bladder is inflamed, then it will more than likely be removed

+1 on the three points above, at least until you have a proper diagnosis.
I had acute pancreatits last year caused by a stone blocking my common bile duct, and had my GB whipped out by keyhole. Took me a month or so to be "back to normal".
eek That long...I was hoping a week

Well that Mary bird, she managed to convince her other half that her hymen was still intact. Me, I'm having none of it. I reckon someone slipped her a cheeky length but her 'simple' carpenter husband somehow fell for it hook line and sinker.

Something sounds dodgy about the whole affair to me.
Yeh I always thought the same...bet it was the Inn Keeper

I'm on the waiting list to get mine chopped out - joy! I haven't found anything that really sorts the pain out. I had one really bad attack and ended up in A&E (pre-diagnosis) and even on morphine it still hurt.

Full o'good news eh wink

Cheers,
Rob
Yeh, but your a man tongue out

The first time it happened, I really though I was dying, or having a kid. I had never experienced pain like it (I was lucky, as never had true labour pains) Thankfully since then, the pain has never been so intense....touch wood

Hold on, ultra scan because you think you might have had an immaculate conception, or am I missing something here?

On your own does not count as sex.

It's masturbation.
Yes I know, I am an adult
