Hoping someone can give me a bit of advice.

About 3 weeks ago I saw the trainer at my gym who changed my program and increased the weights I was using on all the machines I use by at least 50%. All was going well as TBH I had been being rather lazy and not increasing weights.

However, about 10 days ago, I must have hurt myself on one of the machines as my shoulder is now somewhat painful. I didn't notice until the next day but since then it hasn't got a great deal better and now hurts when I do things like dry myself with a towel. I have continued going to the gym but only doing CV and leg work and had hoped after 10 days it would have got better.

Any ideas or suggestions welcomed ?

It's at the top of my arm next to my shoulder if that makes sense.

I think I did using the machine where you sit down, put your arms out the side and then pull the bar things forward (sorry don't know the name frown)

Will try a hot flannel shortly, have taken plenty of (hot) showers since to no avail...........it is easing slightly but not much.

Thanks for the advice. Tried the hot water bottle for 2 hours last night and this morning it seems to hurt less but more.........less in that the pain is not as sharp, but more in that it is there more constantly, but I seem to have more movement before the sharper pain kicks in so I think i's helping at least.

Will give it another try and if not find a physio nearby and see what they can do.....
