I'll kick off...

Mainly the cheating that goes on and excused by those tired, old, ex-pros in the studio as 'being professional' or 'it's always gone on'.

  • Holding/shirt-pulling. (thank you Mike Dean)
  • Encroachment by the wall at a direct free kick.
  • Obstructing the taking of a 'quick' free kick.
All of these are deliberate acts of cheating, you can't do them accidentally. Automatic yellow card please.

  • Feigning injury to get the game stopped. Take a leaf of of the RU/RL books and allow treatment on the pitch whilst the match continues.
  • Dissent. Specifically ranting and raving in the ref's face after he's made a decision. He's not going to change it, show some respect. Rugby has the right idea, captain only to talk to ref about it. Straight yellow please.

Over to the floor...

Yeah, cos Suarez is the only player in the history of the game to have dived. Ever. Try not to jump on every stupid bandwagon that wafts past, FGS!

All players are brought up to cheat and lie these days. I'd issue a yellow to players who are clearly the last player to touch the ball before it goes out of play and then claim a throw in, corner, goalkick in their own team's favour, as well.

Once a whole weekend's games had been abandoned because not enough players were left on the pitch a change in behaviour might follow, but it'll never happen so we just have to ignore it.

Balls, why are they always size 5? Why not use a tennis ball for a change?

No not because he dives, it's because he is a tt.

Although he probably is the first in history to dive and win a penalty before blasting the pen into the top corner with his hand and then running up to the goal keeper and biting him before racially abusing the left back.

And then doing the same the following week.

Anyways, money. Its no longer a football competition but a who has the biggest wallet competition.

Spot on..

Diving (perhaps Tom Daley can be persuaded to play) and descent to the ref.

I can't remember the last time I saw the ball go off and the player throws the ball in from the place it left the pitch.

Have I missed something with the rules where by the player can walk up to 15 yards each way before he decided to throw the ball back in? confused

Walking 10 yards further up the sideline than where the ball went out when taking a throw in.

thought of a few more...

"The Champions League" which is no longer for the Champions and isnt a straight knockout so pretty much the same teams are there every year in the latter stages.

Teams treating the UEFA cup and League cups as a hinderance rather than trying to win the competition.

Joey Barton, Ashley Cole and John Terry.

Sky and their insistance of buggering about with kick off times leading to matches at 12.15 on a Sunday.

If you watched proper football you wouldn't have to sit down. wink

Come to think of it, most of the problems on your list can be fixed by watching lower league football!
