He's a plank.
Bit harsh? He's stepped in 3(?) times when the manager has left and done ok every time. Loyally remained at CPFC for a long time now, as far as I'm concerned he's been nothing but a fine servant to the club. He's a plank.
What do you base your analysis on?
I realise we're all holding our collective breath, but to beat Chelsea at the bridge - again - shouldn't pass without comment. Yes, could've been a pen, but to be fair we deserved that win today for such a gritty performance. Thank god for Sam Allardyce, we have our team back.
I think we've turned a corner in the r********* dogfight. It's too early to call it, but I think we might just do this...

Sam has certainly got us plying better
Hennessy, or keeper, has lost a stone
The whole team is fitter
Andros Townsend is a revelation
Mamadu Sakhu is awesome.
Have to say I thought Hennessey should've done better with both their goals yesterday, particularly the second Hennessy, or keeper, has lost a stone
The whole team is fitter
Andros Townsend is a revelation
Mamadu Sakhu is awesome.
Some predictably mixed comments following de Boer's sacking and Roy Hodgson's appointment.
De Boer was sacked not because of four goalless defeats but because of broken promises about how he was going to manage, apparently.
Roy's appointment is sensible for a club like ours, an admittance perhaps that de Boer was a mistake and a bad fit from the off, but he's a proven pedigree in club management at clubs like Palace, and a good fit. I wasn't particularly inspired at the announcement, but the longer it goes I think it will prove to be a good appointment. Let's hope so, because Brighton are coming for us in November

It's certainly looking grim at the moment, but Roy only had two training sessions, plus Sakho and Wilf are yet to come into the team. Three very tough games to come next, and likely zero points after eight games. But (Watford and Brighton fans especially) enjoy our bad spell while it lasts...
I know it looks bad from outside, but if you patently make a mistake in appointing a manager who is completely wrong then better to fix it quickly and move on. It remains to be seen whether Roy Hodgson is a good fit (personally I think he is), but for a club like ours de Boer was never going to work for a year or more and we simply don't have that luxury. Parish (owner and chairman) was at fault for that, and the transfer window was mismanaged too. But when all's said and done we have a talented bunch of players (with a few exceptions, notably our goalkeeper who is a complete waste of space). What's needed is some stability, organisation, confidence, a goalkeeper and a spare striker, oh and maybe just a tiny, tiny, tiny piece of luck.
Hopefully we'll get it right soon but if we don't then relegation obviously beckons...
