When I watch us week in week out, "my god we are desperate for a great keeper" is not the first thing that pops in to my head. Conte has a lot of work to do on that defence but I guess that was always going to be the case when you change to a different system. And play Dier.
I dunno, I quite often think that we could do with another keeper on the pitch, to help Hugo rofl

Working on material for your Christmas stand up DVD?
I think he means Lloris is a great keeper and we need one because the defence is so Dier...
This, exactly.

amazing how one game can reignite the spark

in theory, Sanchez should suit 3 at back, he either plays as the covering defender for which he has the pace, or he marks a man and has the security of a covering defender behind him.
Dier usually has 6-8 game spell under new manager where he is excellent, last night might have changed that, he just looks a bit cumbersome.
there is a need for at least one, maybe 2, but I also think that Conte will love Rodons approach, so I think he will get games once fit.

good to see the stadium rocking, the atmosphere was brilliant on the TV so must have been cracking in the stadium as was only half full.

Conte invested from game 1 as well, 100% the players will buy into him, from the side he kicked every ball, made every tackle, I think he spent the first half shouting ben davies through how to play football.

I think lots of players who have been on the cusp, would see themselves having a chance of playing if they work hard and do the running.

Sanchez has all the attributes to be a top CB, just need to coach the stupid out of him. Dier will never be more than he is now. A top CB has to be the priority signing. Or we could have just hired Ossie and played 5 up front.

Sorry no he doesn't, you can't coach reading the game into people and he is awful at it. He also can't head the ball, I've seen him mistime jumps for headers on average one or two per game. He may be big and quick but he will always cost us goals because of these two attributes.

Dier I've said for years is not a footballer, no idea how he's still stealing a living from us after all these years of being st.

Ah so you meant "the defence again proving how desperately we need a great keeper" not "Lloris again proving how desperately we need a great keeper."

Hopefully a convincing win against the Toffees tomorrow smile It will take us to 5th. Have to keep momentum and not be so "emotional" or lose heart if a goal is conceded. Conte has quite a project on his hands. It's like an episode of Grand Designs Can he transform the dilapidated farmhouse that is our squad? hehe

He was an hour late for his press conference because training overran. Love it. I just hope the sudden hard work is not going to cause us injuries particular December which is a very packed run of games.

Conte said:
“We need to work a lot to try to improve this team in many aspects, not only tactically but also physically and we need a bit of time to do this," he said.

"I have seen in this few days that we need to work a lot to improve every single player, not just one or two or three.

"This squad needs to work to improve its physical condition, to have more order on the pitch and not be so emotional during games, improve the capacity to suffer."

"Improve the capacity to suffer"

I think this is what levy should have ran with when announcing that we were returning to the Tottenham style of old when Nuno joined.

Overran training by 2.5 hours apparently... beasting them after that performance?

Give Conte time and a couple of transfer windows to get rid of the dross and good times will come.

First half was awful, couldn't string 3 passes together. I know Conte has only been here 5 minutes but most of these players have been playing together for years but it's like 11 strangers on the field.

Conte has a mammoth task on his hands to sort this st out.

This is awful.

Take Kane off and put someone else on - Alli, Ndombele?
