Yeah, to dust off that old cliche, Jelavich always put a shift in. I think he got a bit older and lost that little bit of pace he used to sometimes rely on, as he quite often makes a terrible first touch and the defender is on him and away with the ball before Jela has reacted. Good luck to him though, he was hungry to get on and play and didn't just sit on the bench for his £££.
Real shame about Jenks, horrific injury that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Amazing. Here we are in 6th place with an excellent chance of European football next season but we all focus on the total points required to stay up. That's what supporting WH does for you.
What is it that chicken farmers say? Don't count your chickens before your eggs have hatched! Saying that, it would be painful to finsh below 6th after the way we have played quite often this season, and especially now we have Payet back.
If we look at our remaining fixtures, I do agree with badcompany that we probably won't go down. We've got a tricky March and a tricky mid-April, but other than that it's looking like we could grab 24 more points if we win all our "winnable" games.
FYI, I class those winnable games as Southampton, Norwich, Sunderland, Watford, Palace, West Brom, Swansea and Stoke.
Everton and Man Utd I always get a bad feeling against. Leicester look very hard to beat and Arsenal would love to come and get 3 points.

including Andy Carroll or is he on permanent leave?
We should have got a temp in for him whilst he's signed off Great opportunity to put a bit of daylight between us and Southampton today. So we will probably lose!
And as much as we are patting ourselves on the back, what about Leicester? I genuinely hope they win the League this year.

Apparently only 2 shots on target?
We had plenty of posession but just could not get thru. Payet & Valencia were just ineffective today. It's a mark of the quality of the season that I view that as an opportunity lost.

Lawro has us down for a 0-2 defeat at Norwich. If his predections were right we would be below Aston Villa.

I'll probably regret saying this, but I have us down for a 0 2 victory at Norwich. He's such a bellend, he must just be on a wind up now.
I'm not so sure about the Norwich match. I'm just a bit worried about the injuries and Norwich will be fighting for their lives.Seeing its West Ham, I'm only ever confident in our propensity to cock things up, but Norwich have been poor, and the open way they play will suit us down to the ground for our counter attacking style.
So I predict a 3-0 Norwich win...
I confidently predict a 3 nil win for the Hammers.
