The Official Leicester City thread

Leicester run in isn't the worst I've ever seen. There's points there for the club if the players get back into the right frame of mind. It's very saleable.
After a good result against Seville, I think the board should have waited until there was 10 games to go. Get some points in March, get through CL against Seville, keep the manager.
But they've gone too early. If there really isn't a player revolt like the players are saying, then he should have stayed.
I don't believe this talk of a player revolt. They owe the man everything.
I can see a spanking against Liverpool tomorrow, whereas without this drama having happened, there could have been three points and a turn around after the Seville game. 2-1 away first leg in Europe is a brilliant platform.
Thrown away.

Absolutely. Leicester have found their level (struggling around the relegation places) but because they had an incredibly good season some fans and the players expect them to be top four year in year out.
They're deluded.
Not one of our fans expect us to be top four year in year out. They're deluded.
I don't know what's hard to understand, it seems like most fans of other teams were happy for us to keep Claudio aslong as we went down just because it's a fitting end to the 'story'.
Winning the league, spending 80 million pounds and then getting relegated is not good enough, I don't care what happened in the previous season. If it was your club, your opinion would be completely different. Why keep Claudio when it was obvious we were going down? It's so clear everyone commenting doesn't watch us week in week out, the body language of the players says it all, they knew we were going down. An unnamed player even announced in the bar after one of our games that we were 'f*cked' due to what's going on at the club.
My point is, and this is the same with most clubs, the players won you the league last year, the manager is getting you relegated. Why isn't it the other way around? Or both players and manager?
Ranieri is carrying the can for this when the players are underperforming.
This is just a high profile example. It happens every week in the Championship as you're probably aware.
believe me, I know. I support Forest who have sacked numerous managers after a bad run - hell we even sacked a manager after a boxing day win against Leeds when we were in the play-off places!

No need to thank me chaps,
What's your stake? Leicester's performance is impressive - no idea what's wrong with Liverpool tonight.
Had worse nights

Anyone else think it's a bit distasteful? Why couldn't they pull out a performance like that in the previous few weeks? The same players who insist they didn't try to shaft the manager... the one who brought them to giddy heights and negotiated hard for their improved contracts
Bang on the button.Whilst it's not a new phenomenon, it does seem to be more common that players will play to get managers sacked these days.
I don't know what Ranieri did to deserve it, but those players should be ashamed of their conduct - and it should be a warning to any manager considering putting in an offer for them.
I didn't go to (or see) the game tonight as I'm working away, but is this another Man City? st performance from Liverpool playing into our hands like we saw before, or a return to what we're good at making them look st? Foxes Talk is typically all over the shop with nobody willing to listen to anybody trying to be realistic and not get too carried away with one result. I anticipate Hull being a very different game, but hoping again for another turning point.
Have to say I did have a proper wtf moment when I saw we were 2-0 up at half time!!

Your owners are very much part of the problem. Leicester City are a club in decline on and off the pitch. I know of people who work at the club including someone who has worked at Belvoir Drive for many years. I have even seen some of the nonsense that gets communicated by the club internally.
The club awarded journeymen footballers fat contracts and silly sports cars at the end of last season whilst forgetting to reward others who work for the club. This has created a less than harmonious situation within the club let alone the playing staff.
Claudio Ranieri has been let down by the players and the owners of Leicester City without question. When Leicester won the Championship in 2014 Pearson was in charge, he remained in charge right throughout the following season even though the club were bottom for 6-7 months. The decision to include Mahrez and Vardy later in the season brought about a change in fortune.
Claudio Ranieri won the Premier League. 9 months later Leicester are 17th in the Premier with 12-13 games left and they sack him. Why did Claudio not get afforded the time Pearson was?
I think the supporters who have been calling for Ranieri to be sacked are ungrateful and undeserving of the success they enjoyed last season. Leicester are Leicester, a yoyo club, one season in the sun where they achieved the impossible dream doesn't change that.
It was a heck of a ride but now supporters and the club have got ideas well above their station frankly.

Liverpool are going to DESTROY you on Monday now. Talk of post manager sacking dead cat bounce performance is going to be wrong this time. Six nil I reckon.
Good eveningBut yes, great result, think you should have scored more, Liverpool were a bunch of total wooden tops unable to beat anyone last night.,... they were dire.
Jamie Vardy, ladies and gentlemen...
"There has been a lot of unfair stuff written (about the players) and you've seen a reaction from everyone."
"It's definitely got us fired up in a good way to put a reaction on the pitch."
"It's not for the want of trying [that results have been poor]. We've been trying but it's not been clicking. Luckily tonight it all clicked together.
"Hopefully there will be a lot more goals to come."
It's a real pity they couldn't find this reaction within themselves when Ranieri was their manager...they owed it to him big time...
The epitome of big time charlie. Roy Keane would have a field day with this clown...
