Some of those months were only a few months after his ban. Presumptuous maybe. But who actually thought he would do it again! Well quite a few people, presumably as he had done it before it was easy to assume he'd do it again. All those comments were when he was on his 'best behaviour'.The world has seen it now anyway, he's fked and not before time.

Uruguayan players and press (unsurprisingly) come out in favour of the dog, and attack UK press in to the bargain!
I wonder if Football is all they have to look forward (oops) to and sadly they will defend (oops) him like a national treasure .. with hindsight he should have taken treatment after the first incident before it came back to bite (sorry) him.Edited by fido on Wednesday 25th June 14:45
What I saw this first reported on the England World Cup thread I assumed someone was having a laugh.
Never for a moment would somebody, at a World Cup,who had "previous", and with the eyes of hundreds of millions on them bite someone - at least that's what my rational mind told me.
Having reflected overnight once I found out what had happened, I think that in the main it's really rather sad. Something's badly awry with him - I recall an interview where he (or she herself) reported Mrs Suarez was genuinely puzzled and concerned as to where her husband had gone when on a football pitch, to be replaced by someone she didn't recognise.

A multi-year ban from all forms of competition is the only acceptable punishment for this in my opinion.
I love what he does for Liverpool but this incident is the outright worst I have ever seen in football.
Agreed. I think a minimum 2 years. The punishments given to him previously have had no effect on him, however if he loses 2 years of his career as he is coming to his prime then that may be the only way. I love what he does for Liverpool but this incident is the outright worst I have ever seen in football.

LOL - considering they have given Uruguay until 17:00 (local time ?) to provide evidence, they are not going to do anything before then.
I suspect they will seek a swift ruling on it - it would not be right for him to play against Columbia and then be banned after that. Columbia would be apoplectic if they get knocked out by someone who should not really be there.
