Right might as well get the few positivea out the way first. Glad we managed to keep a clean sheet and that the team seemed to be up for it a lot more than they have been previously.

However we have some huge issues, our passing is absolutely awful. Almost every time we tried to attack it was either a misplaced pass or the wrong choice chosen which almost completely broke down our forward play. I can understand Nuno effecting certain areas but how does a team, most of whom have been playing together for years, forget how to pass the ball?

Our midfield seem to lack creativity. We might need two DM's to cover for out shaky defense but it just leaves us with very few options going forward.

Lastly our front two are still nowhere near their best. Kane has got all the bad press but Son hasn't been that decent so far this season either. Yet another match with no shots on target. That is a huge concern and one of our most pressing problems now I think.

It's all down to confidence or rather a lack of.

Lo Celso put a little creativity in, but not enough. Do we sacrifice Moura on the wing, push Kane and Son into the middle up front and bring in a creative midfielder? Ndombele played that role under Nuno, good for 65 mins, or I know you all hate him but Alli? I#m hopeful for the old days of Alli, Son, Kane

He's playing with wingbacks to give width and creativity but that's not working quite yet because the final ball is always poor. Hopefully that will improve.

Other than that, Ndom is our most creative midfielder but he's not enough on his own. Unfortunately we need two CDM's to cover our defense. We need a midfielder who can attack and defend like Dembele to replace one of Hojberg or Skipp. Those two just don't offer enough going forward.

So wingbacks not currently working and midfield mot currently working so we can't get the ball to Kane and Son. They've also been poor this season otherwise usually they'd be creating chances between them.

20th in the PL for goals scored and shots on target. That needs to be fixed ASAP. Unfortunately we have the stupid international break now. I hate that we have so many, right at the start of the season.

Conte has had 2 games and a couple of training sessions with the players so far. He's not going to fix all the problems overnight.

These are problems that have been with us for a while, even when Jose was here. We rely too much on Kane and Son for our attacking creativity. If they are on it, we score, if either are off the boil, we tend to struggle. We still desperately need another decent striker and more importantly a proper box to box midfielder.

International break means another pause so no time for Conte to work his magic again. Ideally we also need to add to the squad in January which as we know can be difficult and even if we get anyone, they will need time to bed in. It's frustrating that we have a decent manager in place but more than likely be well into the new year before we see some proper change in our performances.

I agree with you on Dembele, Guv, posted something similar last week. A ball winner who can also create can be the key player in a successful team. PEH is good enough for the 11, but not creative enough to be that player.

I remain hugely optimistic about Conte, though he'll need money to move this lot above Europa league placings.

We need to quickly sign one top CB, so we have Romero, new CB and Tang/Rodon, playing together. I'd suggest the next priority is probably the Dembele replacement, though a second top CB is up there also.

We will get there. Goodison isn't the easiest place to go, and 0-0 there, given how ste we've been, is a decent result.

How many players are we actually losing due to the international break? I'm sure Conte will have players to work with for the next couple of weeks.

In hindsight Dembele is a huge loss and has so far proven impossible to replace. An in form Eriksen was also an awesome thing to behold, not as good defensively but he was the best creative midfielder in the league for a season or two.

Chelsea with Kante look a different side then without, he is their most influential player by far for me.

City are lucky in that they have an abundance of top midfield talent so can chop and change at will.

Liverpool don't really use the midfield for their creative impetus but even they struggle with the lack of a proper creative midfielder in certain games, especially if their wingbacks or forwards are having a bad day.

We either have to hope our wingback experiment works out ASAP in which case the midfield creativity becomes a bit less important or we need to buy a midfielder in and not a hopeful either but a proven top rank player.

No. The trial is one person - one seat, and the seat must be unlocked so the person can sit down if they want to.

We're playing with PEH and Skipp as cover for the defence. Both were enormous in the Everton game, so we need a great defence so we can play attacking creative midfielders. Dier again was average to awful, Davis isn't good enough,

Agree with "We need to quickly sign one top CB, so we have Romero, new CB and Tang/Rodon, playing together." A better defence would allow us to play a creative midfielder, or before that do we drop one of the striking three to put one in now. Drop Moura, put in Ndombele, Alli, Lo Celso, then at 65 mins when Ndombele or whoever is knackered bring on fresh legs, Bring Moura on for Kane or Son.

To be honest I'd even suggest Kane be left out in that system for Moura and Son...

We've gone from no shots to a shot hitting the post, might just have sneaked that win with a little luck but that would have been flattering.

Our passing was woeful again, but also our movement. Many times in the top third a player found himself against defenders with only the ball backwards possible, or one pass sideways. There was limited options and we ended up hopefully punting the ball into spaces or roughly towards someone. That can be worked on, as can attacking at pace.

So much to do, Conte's got to take out all the negativity Maureen introduced.

Isn't the eventual plan that it could increase capacity though?

That's never been the plan and will never likely be the plan...in this country it'll always be 1 standing where 1 sitting would have been.

The stadium is, in theory, "future proofed" (tread depth in the safe standing areas, exits, concourses, toilets etc) if the regulations were ever to allow an increase in ratio from 1:1 (1 person per seat). I've seen figures quoted that the safe standing areas are designed for a ratio of 1:1.8 people per seat and that it would be possible to accommodate an additional 1800 people in the south stand safe standing area. But as things stand (pardon the pun) the regulations don't allow anything other than 1 person per seat.
