100% clean sheets. Unbeaten. Averaging 3 points per game.

This is quadruple-winning form!

Has anyone seen West Ham's new signing, Dmitri Payet? I think they may be disappointed, as they've actually been sold Anderson by the looks of him.

So at this stage of the opening weekend a one nil win whilst playing poorly as all our title rivals so far have dropped points looks like a decent result.

Spurs flew out of the blocks yesterday and then both sides seemed to cancel each other out which made for a poor match.

Carrick played higher up the pitch than he has for years. Loved the look of Darmian, could be a great signing, very reminiscent of Gary Neville.

Schneiderlin was impressive as was Smalling. Shaw looks the player we paid 30m for.

Memphis has a great touch and lots of potential, utterly fearless and strong as an Ox.

Rooney looked rusty and I'd rather he played deeper I think he's wasted as an out and out striker.

Schweinsteiger looked like he'd been at Old Trafford for years I don't think I've seen a player look so at home before. If he improves and maintains his match fitness he'll be a huge influence right across the club not just what he does on the pitch. Got a cracking reception.

All in I'd say a B- but there's lots of potential. Pace in place of Mata on the right would help and let him play behind Rooney. Have Memphis and Young battle for the left wing spot. I do hope Pedro arrives.

yes

Pretty good summation, think Wazza will be fine, just a bit ring rusty

I thought Schneiderlin looked pretty average, to be honest. He lost the ball too many times for a player that offers little going forward.

Schweiny remains an unknown. He could be great, or he could be very much past his best. I don't think we have seen much evidence either way.

BUT Memphis looks very promising indeed, Darmian looks excellent and Shaw looks like an athlete for a change (unlike Rooney - he is really struggling for fitness...as usual at this stage of the season).

on the positive side there were some good performances form the new players, and bear in mind 4 of them were making premiership debuts ,not just united debuts. On the other hand as has been said mata is wasted on the right, and I am starting to question LVg's philosophy.
We make life to easy for defenders ,ball is played into feet never over or between the defenders making them turn ,but players arent allowed to dribble.Effectively unless you play football to a perfect level you will struggle to score.

We do create very few chances. It's a system that makes us hard to beat but fairly dull to watch!

If Memphis can inject a bit of pace (like AdM did for a while), that might improve a bit. Janujaz should be played ahead of Mata against the weaker sides, in my view. Two quick and skilful players would give us a lot more of a goal threat.

Frm what I saw of Memphis I dont think you are better off playing him number 10 with Mata out wide - Mata looks far more dangerous in the middle and Memphis looks like he can play out wide easily so I would move these 2 around if i was LVG

Agreed, Mata should be No.10 and Memphis should be out wide.

I think most people want this, its why I am hoping we sign Pedro. I think for all his plaudits last season LvG doesnt have huge amounts of faith in Ashley Young

Memphis - Mata - Pedro to me looks nigh on perfect

Sorry guys, you're talking st. Because philosophy. cool

It really winds me up that LvG is playing them the other way round. Why? It over complicates things.

Pedro scored the winner. That'll add millions to his price.
