What I found most disappointing was Wengers post match interview on Sky Sports, where he appeared to apportion a lot of the blame on two young centre backs - Shocking management and does absolutely nothing for team morale or the confidence of two, young, British centre backs!!! Instead of shouldering some of the blame himself, and the clubs inept transfer dealings thus far.....

I've not heard his comments but it wouldn't surprise me. He's a total fking disgrace pure and simple. stu1984 said:

Certainly not going to do their confidence any good whatsoever.
It was also interesting the point highlighted on Arseblog about Wenger's comments on the readiness of the players:-
Wenger after Man City friendly said:
We could see that we have played together for a while now, so there’s a good fluidity and understanding in our game ... physically we look ready.
Then a week later after the Liverpool game;Wenger after Liverpool loss said:
Physically we are not ready ... we are not capable of maintaining the level, because not all the players have the same level of preparation
It's either one or the other. If they aren't ready, why are they not ready? Isn't that part of your job?Not having a center-back signed after the injuries to both Mertesacker & Gabriel was a complete failure on his part. But a complete failure that was entirely predictable, given Wenger's attitude towards the transfer window / improving the team.
Not to mention his comments back in May regarding the need for another Striker, something he attempted to rectify with the bid for Vardy way back at the start of June. Yet here we are with the season having already commenced, and not only do we not have this new striker, Wenger is now stating we no longer need one.
He repeatedly states his desire for the transfer window to be closed before the season begins, yet year after predictable year he waits until the final few days of the window (several weeks into the new season) to do any meaningful business.
As pointed out on another site, it's as though all the new TV revenue is going to every club except Arsenal. The team that finishes 20th this season stands to receive £90-odd million (I believe), and yet Arsenal are acting like a club that barely have a pot to pee in. Completely making a mockery of the statement that the move to the Emirates Stadium would allow us to compete on a bigger scale.
Utterly bewildering, and yet utterly predictable, almost to the point of being comical.
Almost.

I have nothing but complete contempt for him, I won't even use his name anymore.
The latest rumour on the Telegraph is he's stalling on the Mustafi deal as he's yet to make an increased bid. It's deplorable what is going on at this club and I feel the individual shareholders should be demanding an EGM as questions really need to be asked of the Manager and the board.

I'm surprised any Arsenal fan think that the board wants success , things seem to be ticking over nicely for their pockets.I have nothing but complete contempt for him, I won't even use his name anymore.

Why would the Shareholders care ? Wenger is a dream for them.
And now apparently Juventus have rejected an offer from Arsenal for midfielder Mario Lemina.
Not so much closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, as closing the stable door after your car has just been nicked from your garage, and you don't even own a horse. Or something like that.

I'm referring to those supporters who are long time shareholders and with a financial and emotional investment in the team. Why would the Shareholders care ? Wenger is a dream for them.

Everyone is just going round in circles, The fans are the only ones that can make the change.Stop going for a few games & things would change drastically .
I know the seats are all paid for in advance but just imagine amount of revenue lost if nobody showed up for a few games spending their hard earned Instead of the fans just moaning & groaning on Arsenal TV
Gotta hit em where it hurts

How do you remove a delusional, insane dictator?
Sadly Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke are destroying the club we love for their own personal wealth.
I have not been to the Emirates since 2010, I refuse to give another penny to the club until I see some investment. Saying AFC cannot compete with the 'big' clubs is patronising, offensive bullst!
We have a manager that has a phobia of spending money.
im with you on that and have been since 2011 Sadly Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke are destroying the club we love for their own personal wealth.

my god i remember the endless punch ups i had on here for years trying to explain the damage AW wenger was doing and that there was plenty of money available/that the system's he played were naive and the fact that hes not a leader or a winner. i even remember a gooner 'accountant' couldn't get his head round the basic principles of finance/capital financing.....
evidently and unfortunately my club has never been blessed with the most intelligent fans but but overly liberal that seem to love having the wool pulled over their eyes YoY - a lot of them kept that clown Corbyn in govt!
gooners dont have it in them to take action, they are just like the team. mentally weak when the chips are down. big shame that, we could have this sorted in 1 season.
for what its worth, AW will get such a whipping this season, hes gone anyway .... shame he gets to give us the poison pill that will be his successor in title in his image (of failure).
