Wow 20 posts and no one predicting Liverpool top 4. Where are those rose tinted spec wearing optimists?

As a Chelsea fan, i'm nowhere near as optimistic as you lot!

1) City
2) Man yooo
3) Chelsea
4) Spurs

The Man U vs Chelsea game at the end of August will an important guide on who can take points from whom at the top of the table.

My gawd what an utterly depressing thread. Is no-one sick of the same names appearing in the same old fashion year after year trying to wave the biggest willy wallet frown

Pretty much the same four teams as most others have picked, but in a different order than anyone else has picked....

1. Chelsea
2. Man Utd
3. Man City
4. Spurs

To be honest, unless they follow the US-style sytem of NFL-style spending caps (which they wont) and playoffs, then the same clubs will dominate for a while.

Nothing lasts forever though - not long ago Liverpool, Newcastle would have been in there and before that Everton and Leeds...

In 10 years time we'll all be complaining about the Chinese billionaires in football and how boring it is that Reading and Hull win everything.

With any luck the emphasis on who can spend the most will have been obliterated and the ability of a manager to assemble a winning team without paying them £200,000 per week will be more important. By the way that kind of money should still be achievable in a performance related model - I have no issue with that.

But you're probably closer to the truth than me and my utopian ramblings yuck
