What would a Muslim 11 from the premier league look like?

You'd have to be careful not to refer to the widemen as explosive wingers.

Hmmm - I was in a pub just last week with a few people including a couple of Egyptians talking footy and the subject came round to Egyptian players in the Prem. I mentioned that we, Spurs, had Mido with us not that long ago. They asked how he got on. They were not amused AT ALL when I said that he wasn't that bad but when we asked him to bomb down the wing, we never knew exactly what was going to happen.

They're sooooooooo touchy!

Cool story yada, yada...

You could include Philippe Senderos too, not a lot of people know that.

As a Gooner I wouldn't include Ponderos in a kids tea party! Apparently the jury is out on whether van Persie has converted or not.
Very pleased that there was sufficient talent to avoid having to pick Nasri. Anelka in the past would have been a shoo-in but I think he's not top-drawer any more.

Yeah. And brings out a whole new meaning for the target man.

As a Cottager, he just about makes an adequate back-up for a club at our level. Nailed on to make two screaming errors per match, you just have to hope they don't cost you the points.

Not to mention the turning circle of the Queen Mary II !!
Used to have heart failure every time he allowed the ball to bounce with a CF bearing down (usually Drogba!)

Slightly on a tangent here, but I'd assumed you were an attendee of Walham Green Dog Track, given your handle. Pleased to learn differently.

Not a nice bloke from what I saw (based on the experience I had in Finchley). Wifey and I went into a Turkish barbecue place in N3 and found a group of Arsenal players sat around a table, generally having a bit of laugh.

I spotted Diaby, Eboue, Djourou and Sendhimoff (amongst some lesser known reserves at the time) and gave them all a subtle nod. They were cool and replied with thumbs up, waves or by just smiling. Not HRH Phillipe. He looked at me with that, 'do you mind?' look on his face. Miserable .

No - just the colour of my old MG ZS180 (this is a performance car forum y'know! wink )

Perhaps I should change my handle to Diamond White - my Mk I Mex when I still had hair!

If you aren't a Senderos fan then you can have a good laugh at this!
