Sol Campbell England Captain
Discussion
I just found it:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sol-Campbell-Authorised-Bi...
"First ever authorised biography of Sol Campbell. The family life of one of Britain s most celebrated football stars: detailing Campbell s complicated relationship with his father, youngest of 12 siblings, part of a British-Jamaican immigrant household. The love of the game what it was like to play for some of the world s greatest football teams, living a dream; the struggles and highlights. Racism and immigration: how Campbell s ethnicity has affected his career, and what he believes needs to change to make the UK more equal, in football and in society. Sexuality and homophobia: the truth behind the prejudice and rumours . How Campbell dealt with pressures and internal issues at a time when psychological support was lacking in football, with few provisions or assistance."

Did anyone listen to the interview he gave to the BBC?
It was in most part embarrassing, the rest of it was a rant of his perception that the FA is institutionally racist based on the fact that he was an excellent footballer who deserved the captaincy and is aggreived that the likes of Beckham and Owen were selected over him when he was vice-captain.
Shame the interviewer didn't challenge him on him leaving the Birmingham game at half time to demonstrate he's not as mentally strong as he claims.
The fking baby.

He walked out of Wet Spam because one of the coaches said in passing that we're meaning the West Indies were winning a test match. This is aged 16. It's a throw away comment, but he took it to mean it's them & us & this guy, a minor cog in the Wet spam set up is telling me I'm one of them & consequntly I've just been unacceptably racist...ised.Anyone IMO would shrug that off, not Sulzeer. He took it to heart to the extent he walked out of his club for good. Does anyone need any other evidence that he's not right in the head? This guy is burning with injustice & itching to tell a story no one is interested in hearing.

He's a fking prick.
What kind of arrogant chip-shouldered thinks he should have had the captaincy over Shearer/Beckham/Gerrard?
Hmmm, it's either because the FA are all racist or because Sol Campbell is a fking . You decide.
The only racist in this debarcle is Sol Camp(er than a row of tents)bell(end). What kind of arrogant chip-shouldered thinks he should have had the captaincy over Shearer/Beckham/Gerrard?

Watched him mumble to some sort answer back on the morning news, looked uncomfortable, I'm not entirely sure he means what he's said, just wants more sales. It worked for Sir Alex.
I think this is as much as the publishers words as it is his own. Sad thing is he's coming across as someone with sour grapes.

In his Radio 4 interview one of his claims is that when he played against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, I quote, "the whole ground making monkey chants".
Whilst I accept there were probably some racist idiots present that day (as there are sadly at most football grounds) I do not accept the whole ground was chanting at him. Furthermore, if it was that bad why did he nearly join the club towards the end of his career - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/s...
The cynic in me says he has a book to promote.
