Horrendous way to go. Pretty bad it's so little thought about / covered.

It was the speed with which the fire engulfed that stand that is most frightening.

A friend of mine works for the fire service, and says that the disaster is used regularly as an example as part of training.
The footage was used on both the firefighting courses I've completed(at Strathclyde's training centre in Cowcaddens), they are standard courses and every seafarer does them(although I appreciate different training providers may not use the same material). As said it's harrowing enough to watch, being there must have been terrible.

Next year the 30th Anniversary should be made a larger event in my opinion. Within just a few years, we had Heysel, Bradford and Hillsborough all of which were tragedies and resulted in much change to football.

I'd like to think that many of the problems which caused the fire have been resolved, but the memory lives on and my thoughts are with the families of those affected.

I hope that Social media will influence next years remembrance to make it widely respected
