He even missed a sitter from inside the 6 yard box....and still scored.

Salford Sunday League level at best IMO. Even a decent pub player would have notched up an extra one in each of the last 6 games & been in with a shout of 3 figures in a year.

That's the lot, 91 for the year.

Wonderful stuff, frankly bloody amazing.

I'm happy to say I saw him play and score at the camp nou

The best ever?

Yes, in my opinion. An absolute master at the top of his game.

Just a pleasure to watch isn't he. Loved the way tonight he missed badly, 30 seconds later picks it up in midfield takes on a few players and just casually slots it passed the keeper. Makes it look far too easy.

The best, no doubt.

Yep : no doubt

And such a nice guy too and superb role model for kids : he's the hero of my 6yo and because he (Messi) is the way he is I don't mind that. Not sure you can say the same about any premiership players...

If true, my admiration for him as gone up a little further.

He's knows he has more than enough money, is playing for the biggest club in the world and will win proper titles where he is.

He seems to also know the as much as he gas given Barca, they've given him more.

Well done Sir. A few more could learn from your example.

You have to bear in mind that playing for Anzhi and in the Russian league is not exactly desirable. Having said that, I believe he would turn down an offer of that magnitude even if it came from a top English, Italian or German team.

Exactly, he strikes me as someone with a decent moral compass, it's not about the money once you get to a certain level of wealth if it is then there's a real flaw in your makeup.

Anyway, where would he go that's bigger than Barca?

The ONLY possible club that can be argued as such is Madrid, and he'd never go there. He's Barca to his core.

Bingo - Live in Moscow & fly to a hole for games or be somewhat comfy in Barcelona & still be sufficiently wealthy and successful. Easy call.
