Sorry thought you were saying it was foul but that's it.
It was a foul and a booking most definitely.

There's literally no point in arguing these things so I try not to get dragged in to commenting on tackles and what should have been red/yellow cards. You'll always see it as a red, I'll see it as a yellow.

FWIW I saw it as a definite foul. A definite booking (especially in light of the nonsense that players get booked for these days) but I don't believe it was a red. He went to play the ball and was a split second late.

Why? Players go for the same ball with their heads several times in each game. Very rarely does it result in one of them hitting the ground unconscious. I think it's perfectly possible for that to be a declared a foul yet for heading to continue to be allowed. You're talking tripe.
Have you seen any expert opinion that backs up that rather insulting remark? A single one saying anything worse than 50:50 (Arsene and anyone with Arsenal connections apart of course) the pundits to a man agree with my "tripe"

Players get hurt in perfectly legal challenges all the time, its a contact sport. Alonso's arms were below his own shoulder height throughout, Bellerin simply didn't get anywhere near as high.

^^^^^ This all day long.

It's a tough physical game, Alonso went for the ball, nothing else, his arms were in a natural position for jumping, Bellarin was late getting there and didn't get high enough early enough. More damage done because he landed flat on his back and then banged his head hard on the floor.
Turn it around as if Bellerin got there and Alonso ended up on the floor, there would have been no penalty.

The tripe you were talking was not to do with if it's a foul or not. That's just a matter of opinion. But you then went on to say that if it was a foul, we may as well ban heading. That is tripe. Another ref may well have given it as a foul. That would not signal the end of heading.

Eh? He was unconscious when he hit the deck. He was knocked out on impact.

Not convinced, but either way that doesn't make it a foul,

Of course it doesn't. People keep saying just because one player came of worst that doesn't make it a foul...agreed.
Just because a player got knocked out doesn't make it a foul....agreed.
A player could conceivably be killed in a coming together and it still might not be a foul. I get that.
None of that alters my view that this was a bad foul.

Chelsea fan to Chelsea fan, again not that that makes a difference, just agree to disagree. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Hector is a great player and I think, on balance, was fouled. I seem to remember him being fouled in the Bournemouth game and them scoring from it too. However, that doesn't mean he wouldn't improve by toughening up a little - if he wants to be world class then he needs to fill his opponents with fear.

Yes, come on, be more like Spurs fans. Reconcile yourselves to the fact you won't win the league for 50+ years and stop putting this terrible 'wanting to win something' pressure on Wenger.

Wow. That's all you got, Sparky? Your legendary manager tells you that as fans you're st, and that's all you got?

I'll remind you of this every time you mouth off.

Now Sparky, try and be a proper little fan for now on. Like the nice Mr Wenger asks.

Yup, pretty much spot on. Nice to know I'm not a completely loan voice on this issue!
