The image of him holding his teeth like someone would clutch their ankle was a bloody pearler.
It was the image of the world cup for me. I love the fact that he genuinely seemed to think that pretending to have hurt his teeth whilst eating that bloke somehow mitigated his crime.Although sadly for gloating rights I would be feeling pretty pleased about it if I was a scouse fan, or one of their many many fans that live in a different country and support them because they were really good in the old days. It seemed like he was going to be sold over the summer but nobody will touch him now. They will probably get to keep him off the back of that.

Shock, denial, conspiracy and dismissal - certainly running the full gamut of emotions. ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
I even read somewhere that it's no big deal and no worse than a bad tackle. Some people have some very strange ideas.
What punishment do we think FIFA will mete out? I'm erring on the side of leniency as I don't think they'll take into account his previous in other comps. He should probably sectioned for his own good as others have suggested.

Can't blame them really. He's their best asset by a country mile. If he were to go, they'd be back to the mediocrity they've known so well these past few seasons.
OTOH, when they start going on about colour saturation, photoshopping, disgraceful journos & moral equivocation with broken legs, it is hilarious. They're already the worst tribalists in town. This naked display of it is too much to keep a straight face.

My issue with the photo's was that it's purely supporting evidence. The fact that it is so easy to photo-shop means that they should always be taken with a pinch of salt. If still photo's of Chelinni's shoulder was the ONLY evidence, then it could just as easily have been the Italian shoulder-barging Suarez's mouth. The fact that live video evidence from many angles clearly shows him biting his shoulder, makes the veracity of the still images moot, bordering on an irrelevance. It's like claiming that the photo's of the skid marks on the road have been doctored, when there is video of you power-sliding off the road into a bus queue of kids OTOH, when they start going on about colour saturation, photoshopping, disgraceful journos & moral equivocation with broken legs, it is hilarious. However, they circled the wagons and called for the Sheriff (Mod)...If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through...
If he gets a lengthy ban, they are screwed some what; can't play, can't sell. Although I guess he does has previous so there was fair warning. This might purely come down to how much damage he is doing to brand (what has football become...) "Liverpool". Hardly a product you would wish to be associated with. Maybe they'll finally cut their losses, I'm sure that they could still get a decent price, even with a ban. Not as much as without a ban but then that ship has long since sailed.
- to add, the rolling around feigning injury and then denying the incident to the Press does really speaks volumes of the man's character.

I wonder if he bit so he becomes unsellable (for now) and cant move away from his beloved LFC?
That circumstance may at least shut BCM up. Every cloud and all that! ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)
Certainly never a dull moment in footie - that's why we love it!
This whole affair could only have become more bonkers had he bitten Rooney instead

No reason why it couldn't have happened, other than England never threatening to beat Uruguay and therefore the red mist descended.
I would have hoped he'd have gone for the hattrick of clear ball of the line with hand, bite Rooney and then dive for winning pen....that's what a true showman would have aimed for. I expect that PH would have gone into meltdown and Ian Wright's head would have exploded

When you put it like that, I can't help but being a bit disappointed with his low key headline grabbing. Must try harder in future Luis!No reason why it couldn't have happened, other than England never threatening to beat Uruguay and therefore the red mist descended.
