I would think that is the least of our worries currently. Another reaming tonight could do untold damage ongoing.
I'm going tonight, committed to the ticket before the first leg, so I'm just going to hopefully enjoy watching a decent team play good football....and see what the atmosphere is going to be like.....especially as you say, if that decent team play us off the field and give us a good reaming again.....

Many years ago I saw an interview with the then Liverpool chairman, John Moores?? Probably pre premier league, maybe in the 80s. Anyway, he said something that really struck me. He said "we must never forget our raison d'etre, the reason we exist. We exist to win trophies, and in doing so, be a source of pride to our fans and our community." He then went on to say that the club could only achieve that by being financially viable but the aim wasn't to make money. It was to win trophies.

I get the feeling the board at Arsenal have a somewhat different raison d'etre.
There are only 2 clubs whose priority is to win trophies. Every other club is a business, so their priorities are not to get relegated and to make as much money as possible.
Well Chelsea and Man City clearly aren't run for profit, but for pleasure, to win trophies. For the enjoyment of the owners. I also, off the top of my head, would say West Ham, Spurs and Palace, whilst they need to be viable financially, are run to try and win trophies. I'm sure their owners would settle for a modest profit and win trophies, rather than build up a huge war chest and win nothing.

I'm guessing there are other clubs like that too. Not Arsenal though.

Seems to be a few clubs cherry picked there?

Its completely inaccurate too.

Spurs are run on the tightest budget possible with the goal being Top 4 while spending less than everyone else. Twigs description of Aresnal is far more appropriate for Tottenham

West Ham fans are being completely conned by their owners from what I can see.

Palace being run to win trophies? you what?? laugh

There are 3 teams who are throwing money at winning things. Chelsea, City and Utd. Of those one of them generates their own money the other two have been financially doped

The owners of Palace, Spurs and WHU are supporters of those clubs. They want their clubs to win trophies. Whilst being financially viable. They may not win any trophies but that's the aim. Steve Parrish would rather make a few million profit and win a cup, than make £50m profit and not win anything. The owners of Arsenal couldn't give a stuff about Arsenal winning trophies. They just want to maximise profit.

5 minutes on Arsenal Fan TV will tell you that most fans know this.

I see what you mean about palace then, no doubt their owners are supporters I wouldn't say they are run for trophies.

Joe Lewis isn't a spurs supporter he's jewish that's about it, he has been to the lane less times than you have.

The dildo brothers fans of West Ham? I think that's seriously questionable despite what they might say in public no proper fan would do to that club what they have. Brady certainly isn't.

As for spending 5 mins on Arsenal TV thanks for the offer id rather stick a rusty screwdriver in my eye thanks laugh

It's a big hit with non Arsenal fans. Especially when you lose. Has me crying with laughter. Tye, Robbie, Claud and co. They're better entertainment than the players.

Only a matter of time before the Arsenal board make Robbie an offer he can't refuse for it and then put it out on pay per view and fill it full of adverts. It'll be crap but profitable....that's the Arsenal way. hehe

Reports floating around that Wenger has told the players he's leaving at the end of the season.

Expect a motivated team tonight then. Might place a bet on Arsenal getting through now ...

About 100 people on the protest march, the organisers will probably announce a sell out.

Yep, not the best of starts. Can't say the central midfield partnership of Ramsey and Xhaka fills me with confidence either with the likes of Thiago Alonso and Vidal on the pitch.....

Thats some Grade A bullst right there. Bad luck, was enjoying the game too. I guess it was denying a goalscoring opportunity, but then why yellow first? Feckin Ref's, at least it's not just the EPL that has them.
