Arsene Wenger will announce "very soon" whether he will remain at Arsenal after reaching a decision on his future.

Further proof of any were needed how arrogant this man is.

Hes outstayed his welcome by about 5-6 years and if he doesn't go then I fear for the future of the club. If he doesn't go we must force him out.

I will be surprised if this is his last season. I get the feeling a new contract has already been signed, he's just waiting for the right time to announce it...?

I think he is still convinced he can win the PL again with Arsenal and leave on a high. Unfortunately he has been shown a ridiculous amount of patience from the fans and has been given every opportunity under the sun. The team has been getting worse and worse and so has the quality of the football we play.

Have you seen the match 'map' from today.....so what that we had 70+% possession....its just passing it sideways all the time, and we lost 3-1!!
If anything says it all about our playing style in recent years, this simple graph does.

I think Wenger will go. It's time for him to move on IMO

I was a Wenger supporter until this season, I think the turning point for me was loosing to City and Everton. After that we've had some awful performances, got battered by Chelsea and Liverpool. Munich was an embarrassment and today was very poor. Two goals by Dawson which were basically a carbon copy of each other. Mustafi and Kos should be organising the defence. Tony Adams and Keown would have been barking at people to mark tight

I really hope we miss out on a top four finish. That will hopefully be enough for Wenger and the board to make a change. The board see top four as an achievement but IMO we're only in the CL to make up the numbers. We're never realistically going to come close to winning it. 2006 we got to the final I think it was, that was eleven years ago. The first ten years of Wenger's reign was great, the second ten years we've been treading water

Thanks for the memories Arsene but it's time to go. I'm greatful for all you've done, helping design the training ground and the Emirates, which is also now paid off but it's time to say goodbye. You're now damaging your reputation and the good work you've done
I think that sums it up for me. Problem with no CL football is going into the UEFA Cup, Thursday night football!! It's done no one any good. I'm now hoping on finishing 7th, may just get us out of it. Unless of course we win our FA Cup!.

Interesting watching MoD and the comments on there, regarding the fact they thought he had made the decision to leave, on the basis of there having been a contract on the table for signing for some time, so if he has made up his mind to stay, why not just so so now?

Then again, if he's made the decision to not stay, while not just say so now as well, unless they want to announce his replacement at the same time?

Announcement before the home match against City in 2 weeks time...??

I think he should go. Bizarrely the more money he has has the worse things have got....he certainly has not done a good job of getting the best out of the biggest/strongest squad we've had in years. I always thought he should get a chance to have a go when the funds were genuinely there which they weren't until three years ago when the new Puma and Emirates deals were signed.

Not sure he does go though.

This story appeared in The Telegraph about them looking for a Sporting Director http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/03/13/ars...

Which follows on from Pires making comments from Pires about wanting that job at the end of last year. I wonder if that's to placate the fans....

That was all before the Bayern debacle and the horrendous performance yesterday though. Really looks to have "lost the team"...some players have been utter ste since Xmas....Bellerin, Mustafi, Ozil spring to mind. The midfield selection has been such a cluster fk its hard to know if the players are actually trying...although yesterday looked promising with 4-3-3 which is what a lot of people have wanted all year. Fnnily enough the one game where Giroud's height would help he was on the bench.

This is classic Wenger in the modern era. He consistently gets every decision wrong.

It's clear we're going to face an aerial onslate against against a tall , powerful and direct West Brom side so he leaves Giroud, one of our best headers of the ball, on the bench.

It appears we do little or no prep for games, there is a lack of a clear plan, the players are bottle jobs with the exception of Sanchez. We are defensively poor, offensively one dimensional, we have no leaders, we're crap at set pieces. There no aspects of our current set up I can say are right.

Our ocaching staff are pointless, the medical staff are hopeless and the board spineless.

Apart from that everything is great!

I will be utterly amazed if they dont announce he's signed an extention to his contract, theyre just waiting for a decent result to attach it to.

I think you're right.

When that happens I think it will begin a war frankly with the supporters.

I personally feel this is one of the weakest squads we have had in years.

5-6 years ago most people would agree that on the right day Arsenal were capable of beating any team in the world. And we did...Barcelona, Bayern to name a few.
Back then we had RVP, Nasri, Cazorla, Arteta, Wilshire, Vermaelen, Fabregas, Young Szczesny, Koscielny, Clichy, Arshavin, Lord Bendtner...

That was a very strong squad that underachieved. Although we have always been inconsistent in winning games at least the football was attractive.

Just seen on an Arsenal forum there is talk of him signing a new contract which if it is the case fans should avoid buying season tickets and attending matches as I feel this is the only way to get rid of him.
