I would say that Hendo' is too much of a nice guy to be captain and should left to concentrate on his football. I would prefer Skrtel I think. He is more of a leader figure and more likely to give someone a shouting at if needed (or a quiet chat..)

Never seen someone so badly advised - worse thing is if he gets his move Ward will pocket a fortune
Ward will probably pocket a fortune from Sterling, but he's probably messed up his potential earnings in the future. A lot of potential clients will be very wary of him now.Edited by m3sye on Friday 10th July 10:32

Come on now chaps...I don't remember you all calling Lovren a cock for doing the same thing last season when you were trying to buy him?
That's because Lovren didn't do the same thing."Liverpool sent the offer and the club haven't informed me," he said. "Not even about the subsequent Liverpool bids. That wasn't right.
"I found out about the bid from other people which disappointed me and I realised I've got no business staying at Southampton. Frankly, my head is already at Liverpool."
Haven't heard Raheem come out and say his head is already at City or anything of that sort. Players have pulled crap like this for ever...and they will keep doing it.

"Look, I'd gladly stay in Southampton if the club had any ambitions, if they kept the key players," Lovren told Croatian paper Sportske Novosti.

Suarez was the king of that - mind you it did him no good. He had to wait a year and resort to biting someone to get sold. Over to you, Raheem..."Liverpool sent the offer and the club haven't informed me," he said. "Not even about the subsequent Liverpool bids. That wasn't right.

I really don't see what is so wrong about saying any of that and to be honest, whilst a little hurt I'm sure not many begrudged Sterling when he said it was about trophies - any LFC supporter would have to concede there is much more chance of winning more trophies at City or Chelsea than LFC right now."Liverpool sent the offer and the club haven't informed me," he said. However, things Sterling has done that Lovren has not:
- Performed TV interviews with the BBC without the clubs knowledge
- Publicaly criticised the manager
- Not turned up to training
- Underhand tactics to try and devalue himself to force through a transfer at a lower price
There's a difference between not training up to training and being off sick. As for Sterling giving an interview without the club's permission, I don't remember Mr Rodgers giving interviews about Sterling without Sterling's position. Sterling isn't blameless in what is going on. Nor is Mr Rodgers and his 3 envelopes and eagerness to go running to the media himself.
I hope the lad gets his move asap.
I hope the lad gets his move asap.
Yea, I'm sure Sterling has been really ill.
And BR is Sterling's boss and Sterling is a contractor. LFC are his employer. If BR or LFC want to discuss one of their staff with the media (when asked) then it's their prerogative.
LFC haven't handled any other player the same way they've handled the Sterling situation (with regards to the media) - not even when Suarez was asking to leave, so you have to ask yourself why.

Anyone fancy putting a bid in? Shame there isn't a 'best offer' option

But overall I agree with you, what I'm trying to say is that players pull this kind of crap all the time so I'm not sure why we (fans) act surprised when it happens.
Possibly that as supporters of clubs further up the food chain than most it doesn't happen too often to our players?
