Reports are circling that Liverpool have already tied up a £3 million deal to bring Mexican World Cup hero Guillermo Ochoa to Anfield. The goalkeeper was one of the stars of the summer with a string of impressive performances for his country in Brazil.
His status as a free agent made him an interesting proposition for a number of clubs, however it was Malaga who signed him up to replace Man City bound Willy Caballero. The only problem has been that since then, the Mexican has played second fiddle to Carlos Kameni in the south of Spain to such an extent that he hasn’t actually played a La Liga game.
However, if the substantial number of reports are to be believed, Brendan Rodgers has earmarked Ochoa as the man to solve Liverpool’s goalkeeping crisis.
Rumours of the move began circling on Sunday when Ochoa followed Liverpool’s Twitter account after the 3-0 defeat to Man Utd.
I did think there might have been reports linking us with him after the World Cup - he stood out, I thought. Mind you, so did Diouf and Diao a few years back... ahem...His status as a free agent made him an interesting proposition for a number of clubs, however it was Malaga who signed him up to replace Man City bound Willy Caballero. Mario has a groin injury so won't be playing tonight.
Just hope we play with great character tonight. Whatever score it is I just hope we show great character.
We always play with great character. I know because BR says so after every match! Just hope we play with great character tonight. Whatever score it is I just hope we show great character.

He says we play with great character every game but i'd like to us play like we did against Basle in the last 10 minutes. Everybody giving their 110%.
And also Skrtel upfront

"Rodgers optimistic to make top four
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he is still confident that the club can have a strong run in the Premier League, as well as the cup competitions that they are involved in."
If we lose tonight he will be a laughing stock - he just loves his own voice
Was this a statement the club put out, or an interview? Whilst I don't agree with the points what do you expect him to say if he is asked"Rodgers optimistic to make top four

£32m for Eriksen I can't really see Chelsea loaning Cech to us? What would they gain from it?
I agree. Watching Cech last night he's still a tremendous keeper, would make a huge difference to us conceding goals I think. Would be just the leader we need behind the defence.
Personally I'd say I'd prefer to see Cech as our number one priority for January, then maybe Bony.
Don't care about Eriksen, especially for £32m! Only way that would happen is if we've already done a deal to sell Sterling.

No deal to sell Sterling will be done - this is purely press crapPersonally I'd say I'd prefer to see Cech as our number one priority for January, then maybe Bony.

Also we have 3 number 10's - Erikson again paper talk
I agree priority should be Cech and a striker

All managers say that. In the same way they say anything can happen and the other team still has a chance, when they're ahead with a 20 point gap and only 21 points available."Rodgers optimistic to make top four

Let's hope Balotelli isn't here next season.
There is a fair chance he will be though if BR is still in charge because he wants to be the manager that finally gets the best out of him which only adds to how deluded he is and Jose couldn't get the best from him so I am still not sure who can. SydneyBridge said:
I assume that means Lambert of Raheem up from tonight then. Raheem was unlucky on sunday to a certain extent that his best chances were on his left foot, but at least he got in the positions to have a one on one with the GK
I suspect Bournemouths defence might be better than oursGassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
