What more do you want?!
Someone we've heard of?Got to love summer transfer window.
Our best players in recent seasons have been either youth products, low profile young players that have limited experience, or mid-priced players from lower positioned clubs.
Dier
Alli
Toby
Eriksen
Kane
I'm not too fussed about shelling out for a big name, to be honest.

Looks like decent business if we can pull this one off.

A lot of those football rumour sites say it's all done & dusted.
I don't know anything really about him other than he scored 27 goals from 34 games in the Dutch league last season & is a full international at only 21 years old. Looks like a typical Poch/Levy signing.
You might know him from scoring and giving an assist in the friendly against England a couple of months ago.http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-ne...

Great player, not highly gifted from a technical point of view. More a Suarez type of player. A good match for the Tottenham style of play IMO.
He played in the Dutch 1st division till just a year ago. Risk though with youngsters like him (Depay is a good example), that one great season in the Dutch Eredivisie and still being a no-name internationally, might not give him the depth and experience needed to succeed straight away in a new and different environment.
Unlike Depay though, this guy seems to have a good head on his shoulders, very down to earth, good worker, great mentality.
But it's the way the world works these days. For the EPL clubs, Tottenham in this case, 15M Euro is a risk worth taking with a youngster like him. For Janssen himself though, I think a transfer to either Ajax or PSV is be a better choice.
This by the way is nonsense:
"Feyenoord, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven have been keen on snapping him up from cash-strapped Alkmaar to keep him in his homeland."
Janssen said in an interview being interest in going to either PSV or Ajax. But AZ's TD confirmed this week that the above clubs didn't show any interest themselves so far. Besides, Feyenoord couldn't even afford him, PSV have two strikers on long term contracts. Ajax on the other hand could easily afford him, but capped themselves years ago, both on salary and transfer fees. So they're never going to pay the 15M.

Cheers for that, I know nothing about him tbh.Great player, not highly gifted from a technical point of view. More a Suarez type of player. A good match for the Tottenham style of play IMO.

If I were a Tottenham TD and given his age and price tag, I would pick him up straight away. Together with H.Ziyech by the way, from Fc Twente. A very technically gifted and pacy, offensive mid-fielder. I'm surprised no EPL club showed any interest in him so far.

Like Janssen one of the best players of the Eredivisie this past season. And with a pricetag of around 12M Euro, only 23 years old and with a DiMaria'esque playing style (ofcourse he still has lot's to prove).
Given the cash available currently in the EPL, he's a no brainer IMO.

I honestly don't think the club will be spending that kind of money on anyone again. The 12 mil for the other striker is much more likely...and let's be honest how many strikers are needed at a club that play 1 up?
Pretty soon I don't think we'll have much choice, have you seen how much United have just paid for some defender you've never heard of before?!?!Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
