that extra striker is definately needed as Zamora is a spent force. was woeful y'day and the shape of the team improved dramatically as a 451 when he was replaced.
very scrappy win and we road our luck at times, but whilst we haven't found any great form we are churning out 1-0 wins every week until the formation is sorted and the newbies settle in. Brighton will be tricky midweek, hopefully they are knackered after Reading today.
Yep agreed, Zamora is off to the knackers yard, although I thought that some time ago and AJ has another injury, hopefully he'll go to Palace.very scrappy win and we road our luck at times, but whilst we haven't found any great form we are churning out 1-0 wins every week until the formation is sorted and the newbies settle in. I have always rated Billy Sharp, never seems to have a problem banging them in at Championship level, but looks like it might be Adebayawn or Harry Kane, can't we just sign someone who doesn't play for Spurs!?
If only Remy would have wanted to stay on, him and Austin I think would have made a great partnership.
The team still isn't good enough for the Prem though, we need another centre back and another striker, BUT so far we're doing well to avoid relegation.
8th clean sheet is quite impressive, be interesting when we play the likes of Forest, Burnley, Reading etc.

Seems like he was telling others that it's lined up but that it may be linked with promotion.....
I just said to him "It's been a great season!". He replied "So far.....". Spoken like a true, healthily paranoid, fan.
My nine year old and his ten year old mate (his first game) thought it was great to meet the man himself and get photos.
We also ended up (just) on the League Show highlights.
So now I have successfully created a new 10 year old Super-Hoop. How do I tell him that next time we won't meet TF, we won't win and won't end up on TV?
All part of the education, I suppose.
Next up for me; Bournemouth. Evening game. Can't wait.
Lots of man points for creating a new junior hoop there AC, nice work, but I fear it won't last very long! I just said to him "It's been a great season!". He replied "So far.....". Spoken like a true, healthily paranoid, fan.

I thought we played well against Reading, they had a 20 minute spell where they looked capable, but we stood firm and only a 25 yarder was going to beat our defence, again I think Philips should have scored, they're coming I think and soon someone will be on the end of a hiding from us!
If only Remy would have stayed, he's scoring for fun for Newcastle, he has to be worth a £40m now surely
Well, I have just about had enough of Redknapp and his boring old cronies.
Yes we're 3rd, but we look poor, Benayoun, Henry, O'Neill, Krancjar, all looking rather ropey, young, keen and fresh blood required, especially up front.
Hopefully he'll look at home rather than abroad and go for a new striker, hopefully Rhodes or Wells, (or both!) and some young blood in defence would be nice too, I don't want to see Carlton Cole, Crouch or Defoe arrive thanks Harry.

I am actually getting to the stage now where I would like Allardyce to get sacked and Harry take over West Ham, I don't think that'll happen but would be nice.
I would like to see him go for Rhodes, Ince and Wells and build a team for the future, as opposed to all the crap he's had years ago at Spurs and Portsmouth, if we don't, then I cannot see us going up and wouldn't want us to either.
I think Harry is very keen to offload Cesar, another one of Hughes' great signings on a million a week, although I think he's a decent shot stopper, he doesn't seem to command the box that well and is quite weak with corners, so you're welcome to him!

Yeah, it's getting a bit dull/worrying.
Seeing how Derby went at Chelsea was an eye opener for me - same for the way Forrest played against West Ham. Loads of piercing runs, loads of movement off the ball. Leicester and Burnley playing the same way.
Our lot look very static in comparison and just can't penetrate that final third. A sort of OAP version of the way Swansea played in our promotion season. Lots of tippy tappy and lateral passes and nothing else. We'd just send Routledge down the wing or get Taarabt to do one of his mazey runs and bang two in. Ironic to see where Swansea are now and what Routledge is doing for them.
Anyway, I don't think just adding one striker will solve it.
At this rate ending up in the playoffs will be a good result.
Quite right AC, all the other teams in and around QPR are showing much more togetherness than our lot of loanees, ok so Burnley lost but scored 3 against Southampton (Ings looks very good) Leicester again, although lost, showed some spirit, Derby are looking strong and so are Forest banging 5 in against West Ham.Seeing how Derby went at Chelsea was an eye opener for me - same for the way Forrest played against West Ham. We need a left back, a centre back, Simpson is 'ok' some creativity in midfield and I'm sure Benayoun isn't the man for that and a couple of strikers, I would love to see Ince, Wells, Rhodes, Austin and Philips play together, rather than O'Neill, Krancjar, Henry, BZ and AJ, yet Fernandes says we'll probably make 1 signing.
Harry out and Steve Clarke in?
65 million loss, just incredible.
Let's hope we can get £30m for Remy and £30m for Taarabt!
I don't even think we'll make the playoffs, recent form is very poor, away to Brighton tomorrow, we're gonna get our arses handed to us in more ways than one.
However, I will say one thing, injuries have played a big part, no Austin who has scored 14 this season, after him Philips with a huge tally of 3, Barton is suspended more than he plays, Simpson is ok, he's been out, the others are just there to collect a wage it would seem.

Good result for us. Your heaviest defeat of the season i'm told. Blimey hoops, my lot will catch you at this rate!
We weren't troubled before the dubious sending off and penalty, game changer, although we are pretty damn rubbish at the moment. But not rubbish enough for you to catch us up
