Klopp has said he's going to field a strong team against Chelsea - I think he'll see it as a warm up for the final and field the second string side at the weekend.
I would have taken a ticket for tomorrow night, but have to be back in Kent early on Thursday, so not really viable for me.

He's definitely a Klopp-type of player, he's hard working and he's a clever player. Obviously he needs to produce more in the way of goals and assists but he's one of those players that creates things for others by his movement and runs (something which is often overlooked).
I'm not sure we are going to see that much transfer activity this summer. In his post match interview after Villareal he said something like "I only came here because they have a nice squad" which to me suggests he wants to develop what we have. We've seen glimpses of what this group of players are capable of recently so I'd love to see us push on without the usual influx of over-priced players that aren't actually any better than what we've already got!
This precisely... Klopp seems like a very loyal manager towards players that perform well for him.. I definately think he see's Lallana as part of his future plans.. I also don't think we will see / need a clearout.. Defo a keeper a defensive mid and an attacking mid, We already have Matic coming in to strengthen the back four, I would be more than happy with this, Big squad changes also means long settling in times with a few failures guaranteed, lets build gradually on what we already have.I'm not sure we are going to see that much transfer activity this summer. Meh.
Lallana has been nothing short of fantastic under Klopp, I would be shocked if he sold him, he seems to love himHis work rate is phenomenal and he is now beginning to contribute to goals more....I would without doubt keep him

I think he's a very good player.
7 months ago this very forum was full of 'I see 10 leaving' and 'need a full clear out' and a number of us championed the 'lets just see how they do' thinking. It's turning out that a bunch of lemons are actually not bad at all both vindicating BR and the TC but also proving BR wasn't great at coaching.
I'm so pleased to see good talent shine and be coached and sad that some are failing.
I hope we buy few, buy smart but buy experienced quality.
I don't welcome a wholesale clearout at all.

I think we could get £20m for him easily. He's only 25, well proven in the Premier League and any team set up for him would do wonders. Plus with the new TV money we should be looking at getting back most of what we spent on him.
FWIW I thought he did well at the weekend.
I totally agree Jammy, he is easily worth 20m+ he will get pretty much most teams the goals they need - he simply just does not suit Klopps pressing game - nothing against him, he has not suddenly become a bad player FWIW I thought he did well at the weekend.
Given he's 3rd choice, I wouldn't expect Benteke to be here next season... as has been said numerous times, he's not a bad player, he just doesn't fit with how Klopp wants the team to play. Hopefully we can get a decent fee for him.
Lalana should stay IMO. He's improved under Klopp, fits the system and has a great work ethic. I guess the challenge will come if he's not a starter... I think he will want to start, and if he's not 1st choice he may want to move himself.
As for other signings... a keeper and a left back are the critical ones for me. Moreno and Mings just make too many mistakes.
After the last 2 summer windows, I hope we don't see massive changes... it just unbalances the team and it take ages to get them playing together.

For such an acitve forum not many takers for tickets when I post them
Posted them on my facebook too and tagged about 20 people who always ask me for tickets, not 1 taker - might be to do with the £58 charge per ticket for what is a none event game...

Agree. It's hard to make a mark when you're injured, unfit or on the bench. I thought he played well and whenever he's featured he's shown a different option in terms of playing style.FWIW I thought he did well at the weekend.

The left back situation is tricky IMO. Flanno and Brad Smith need opportunities but you also need dependable proven quality. I think Moreno doesn't fit. His workrate is mega but he's a liability. The 'keeper is more straightforward for me. Mignolet needs to be sold and a new first team goalie signed. A quality player between the sticks lifts the whole team. De Gea is the ultimate example of that at present.
