Fair play to the owners, proving they are not all talk. Dropping matchday prices and season ticket refunds is a great start to turning around the club and it's image.
Joey Barton would be awesome for our midfield. Its clear we could do with as much steel in there as possible and he would definetly add that. The boy can play, anyone that watches football and knows what they are on about can see that. He is Newcastles best player and if it wasn't for his 'history' he would be in the England squad. As much as i rate Scott Parker i would have Barton over him as i think he quite simply is the better player of the two.
I would love a centre midfield of Faurlin and Barton, that would be VERY decent for any premiership team!
You R'sssss!!!

Also talking about Jermaine Jenas too, hmmm never have been sure of him, would like to have SWP at QPR though...
So, potential signings :-
Barton, good thing, spice up the midfield
SWP, good thing, handy on the wing and a tricky little player
Crouch, I rate the guy
Jenas, not sure!
Parker, he won't come IMHO
Luke Young, he'll do for now
Bullard, lovely bloke, knew him when he played for Gravesend and Northfleet, but too old and injury prone
Joe Cole, do we really need him?
We need defenders, badly...but regardless it's going to be an 'interesting' season for the Hoops!

I too have watched and played football for many years and know I would not want him near any club I support. In my opinion he is exactly the type of player to avoid. There are ways of playing with channelled aggression without resorting to outright thuggery. You're welcome to him...MentalSarcasm said:
Joey Barton!? Are you having a giggle!? I wouldn't want that nutter anywhere near a football pitch, let alone donning the Hoops!
I don't care how good he is, he should have been banned from playing a LONG time ago.
Although I agree with you to a certain extent, he's playing his best football at the moment and will be a good addition to our team, he's exactly what we need in midfield, someone to dish out a few slaps I don't care how good he is, he should have been banned from playing a LONG time ago.

Glad my club aren't taking this approach of mortgaging the club to the hilt to chase the Premier League money.
If you're relegated, you're up a famous creek without the proverbial paddle.
Fair play, it's a brave gamble but I wouldn't fancy the odds if it was my club.
Agreed 100% If you're relegated, you're up a famous creek without the proverbial paddle.

Barton is a liability on and off the pitch IMO.

I see your new signing is out for 3 months, bad luck!If you're relegated, you're up a famous creek without the proverbial paddle.

Its exciting times, I put your post down to envy, about time our club had some good fortune, we're going places that Norwich aren't IMHO,
We shall see....

You're potentially going places we aren't but at the risk of the long term future of the club, something which isn't going to happen under our current ownership. Its exciting times, I put your post down to envy, about time our club had some good fortune, we're going places that Norwich aren't IMHO,

Ayala is out for a couple of months, but our team isn't about one man. It's a team y'see.

Well last season you said it was all about Taarabt, I assume now you mean it's all about Barton?Ayala is out for a couple of months, but our team isn't about one man. It's a team y'see.
We have very wealthy people behind the club for LONG TERM growth and stability, we are making potentially exciting signings and like I said it's just envy from you Dale.
From nigh on administration to having very sound backing (not just from Fernandes) we have the chance of at least staying up and progressing over the years.
So, let's see what happens to both our clubs, I'm hoping BOTH will stay up as I have a soft spot for Norwich and think it's a good club, I just feel as I said we're going places now and hope for a good season.

I think Barton is a brilliant player, it's only politics that's keeping him out of the England set up.
No offence to QPR fans but I think he could have walked into any team in the country bar the top 3 or 4.
As a Toon fan, I will miss the passion and enthusiasm that he possessed.

Hit the post twice today, the crossbar once, should have had a penalty and Wigans two goals were deflections, still, got put it in the net....
