If true, that's a decent fee for a 31 year old.

Would have to agree. He has done well in the past, but is just not great recently. When the rest of the defense is so jittery we can't afford to have one of the more experienced members not playing well. Have to build for the future.

It would have been nice to get an easier start to the season - it generally helps players get some confidence to get a few easy games and results from them early on. Hope we have improved a bit from last year on the consistency!

Certainly is, agreed. He's not the player he was, unfortunately. But good business for us.

If we become another "lets just buy all the best players with all this new money we have" like City or Chelsea, that's me done.

I'd usually take those reports with a pinch of MSG. Part of me would love to buy a few big name players with their money, however if it sounds too good to be true...

With a heavy heart, yes. I've said it before. I hate monopoly football. Some argue we did it in the 70s (relatively speaking) but the vulgarity of spunking 50m time after time on pampered pooches just to stop other teams getting players and having a World's Best 11 to pick from just grinds my gears.

At the moment, FSG with Klopp isn't following that model. If the Chinese came in with extra money to invest, I'd rather it went on infrastructure and cheaper tickets, not on more and more expensive players.

Well said sir.

Were all in danger of losing what it's all about.

There has been and no doubt will be, aspects of how the club is run, that I disagree with, but there is NOTHING that would make me stop supporting LFC.

I would still support Liverpool, but they were no longer "interest" me and I probably wouldn't follow football as much.

Completely agree with the point about extra investment going towards the fans rather than the team/players!!

Well its not a pissing contest - everyone's different. That's just how I feel about footy, and I say that as a supporter since 1971/2. I'd give up on the top tiers of footy altogether and go and look at lower league, perhaps. I'd never support another team in the same way, however.

Take over - I believe they have bid but declined by Henry

I'm certainly not looking for a pissing contest. beer

But it's the game that has changed, not LFC. We have to move with the times or become obsolete.

Totally agree with you. I just don't like the way its changed. Natural evolution as more money gets pumped in I suppose - its just that the rich people buying clubs now are often SO obscenely rich, the money coming in is just stupid.

I disagree, I think we can emulate what Dortmund, Atletico Madrid have done.
