Walker has been one of England's better players recently. I'd start him over Clyne but there is not much in it. Best of a bad bunch for me.

I suppose Walker offers a bit more going forward, which we need on the flanks considering Rose is probably the worst player on the pitch so far. No one better defensively than Clyne in the RB position right now though.

Sterling truly is a pile of steamin' sh!te. He was when he was with us and still is now. How we ever got near £50m for him I'll never know.

How long now until the inevitable "<insert CL team here> want Sturridge!> rumours? hehe

My first thought was how apt it was that he should score in injury time.

My second was: Get off him! Get off him! Get off him! He'll get hurt!

Sterling looked amazing playing alongside Suarez & Sturridge, as they took so much of the defenders attention away & always made runs/ had space for a pass... On his own he is lost. Yes he is quick & tricky, but he's VERY lightweight, a bit headless chicken & the one thing he really lacks is a football brain IMHO, he always seems to be running into blind alleys.

Oh & his finishing is appaling.

Seems to be another player we cashed in on at the right time hehe

It certainly speaks volumes that none of the WUMs have been in here talking about him since he has left, whereas at the time of selling when we said we weren't too fussed they were saying we were making excuses. That said. Ibe has not improved as much as a lot of us expected/ hoped for as his replacement.

Per earlier comments, this is a symptom of modern day football. Move to the "big club" i.e. for the big money, sit on the bench and stall your development in the most important phase when you need to push on. Move on to a second rate team and fail to fulfill your potential.

Agents have a lot to answer for IMO.

Not sure how you all think Sterling has been a failure since leaving Liverpool.

He's currently a regular starter in the England 1st XI, he's about to start playing for the most sought after manager in the world, he's just about to start playing for the 3rd consecutive season in the prestigious champions league, he earns they say around £200k a week & the kids only 21 years old.

I think he's done rather well in all honesty.
