A Barnsley fan described perkins as 'as much use as a dog chasing an empty greggs bag around a park'
I'm working on the assumption he wont miss him then.....
He was one of our best players last season, I thought he was excellent. If you are the only one really putting in any amount of effort in a team of 11 then it is probably easy to appear like a dog chasing a carrier bag though (brilliant analogy!).I'm working on the assumption he wont miss him then.....
I thought he was one of your better players to be fair
Any Barnsley fans know if he's any good in goal?

We can only assume the players we're after are still busy in brazil which is why we haven't signed them yet,
Yes... that'll be it.
Looks like you were spot on.Yes... that'll be it.
Costa Rica international Jose Miguel Cubero appears to have signed subject to a medical tomorrow according to local media, plus Rigas agent has posted a photo of Cubero and Riga shaking hands.
He came on as a sub in 4 (Uruguay, Italy, Greece and Netherlands) of their World Cup games in Brazil
Local reporter did tweet about an hour ago that there were 3 players at the ground.
So that is Jose Riga gone.
Wish him all the best where ever he goes next. Tried to get the team playing football, shame the Chairman wouldn't give any funds to actually bring in any of the players he wanted (I think only 2 that he signed were on his wanted list), every body else were free agents.
So lets see who that c**t will employ as manager this time around, assuming somebody actually wants the job. Took about 6 weeks to find a replacement for Appleton before finally appointing Ince (after several people turned us down)
, then when sacking Ince (Jan 2014), asked Barry Furguson to take over training and was never actually referred to as caretaker manager.
Wasn't going to go to the game on Saturday, but think I will now so I can hurl some abuse in the direction of the directors box.

In all honesty Russ35 I wouldn't go. I wouldn't put money in his (Oystons) pocketWish him all the best where ever he goes next. I used to post regularly on the Gazette site and I was critical ofthe Oystons.
I was always polite never threatening or personal I always referred to KO as Karl Oyston never as his nickname. .
One of the things I did do was actively get involved with my brother who lives in Poulton in contacting friends and acquaintances and we were able to get several properties removed or stopped from being advertised with Oystons.
I made mention of this.
As a result I was barred from the Gazette site. But I have also been barred from Bloomfield Road as has my brother.I assume this is by matching e mail addresses to membership lists.
I used to see BFC at least once a fortnight and over the last 7 years once a month (not that easy living in Brum)
I will NEVER attend a BFC game again as long as that family are in charge.
I dunno if you comment on the Gazette site but I'd be very careful if you do.

I do have an account with the Gazette. I think I've only used it a couple of times. Just checked and the email address used for it is from a yahoo/gmail/hotmail type account and the user name is nothing to do with my name, so I should Ok.
Was your username on the Gazette site enough to Id you? as otherwise I would think that there was some sort of breach of the Data Protection Act if the Gazette has passed your account details to BFC. I believe somebody was making a complaint about the club and the DPA after Sam O posted the seat details of a season ticket holder on Twitter after he got some abuse. SO has no connection to the football side of the business (he is the manager of the hotel) so should not have access to the football club database.
With the way bans and legal letters are being handed out at the minute, I'll probably be the only one there on Saturday.

No the user name wasn't my real name. One or two other fans may have twigged from the posts that referenced to were I was sat or whatever. The e mail address wasn't my real name but a nickname I was given. The link would be it was the same e mail that I'd used with some ticket purchases. It's clear to me that they read the comments and use their clout to get as much info about the posters as possible. Was your username on the Gazette site enough to Id you? as otherwise I would think that there was some sort of breach of the Data Protection Act if the Gazette has passed your account details to BFC. Probably is a breach but could just be an over enthusiastic junior at the Gazette trying to impress.
What a mess.
Quite simply until 'they' leave we are going nowhere and will never properly compete again.
I'm all for sensible spending, frugality, not caving to agent/player demands but there is a line if you're serious about competing. The overall money driven issues within football generally are a real problem but they aren't going to resolve overnight.
Worse it is very hypocritical to ship out all that Parachute money to non-football interests whilst doing less than the fundamental things necessary to prepare for a new season. But this is nothing new and would have happened long ago if Belokon hadn't become involved, invested and changed our status quo briefly.
Sad sad times and a seriously black mark on the recent history of the club caused by one family

Give us some credit we did go in at half time winning 2-0, and then managed to concede 7 in 37mins.
Don't forget the 1-6 at home to Bournemouth.
Looks like the first case the Oystons are taking against fans gets to court in Manchester in a couple of weeks. Claim lodged for upto £50,000 each for Owen Oyston , Karl Oyston and Blackpool Football Club Limited. Apparently one of the claims is that the comments made by the fan have , amongst other claims for damages , hit this years season ticket sales .

Still waiting for the announcement " Blackpool have signed Ched Evans" to complete the dismal route the club has taken over the last few seasons.
Will Watt hit the nail on the head in the Gazette last week. From a full stadium, great atmosphere and kids wearing tangerine to half empty seats, protests and a disjointed, lackluster team. I was always quick to remind people that a modern football club is basically a business to make profit for the owners, but even I am disappointed by the BFC owners' attitude. marsred said:

We had the chance to be a football team and a business a few years ago under holloway, a bit of spending then wouldn't have left the club in the dire situation it is in now if there had been an attempt to get back into the premier league, success into the premier league managed well for a club like blackpool had the chance to be profitable aswell. Ok there are a few ifs and buts in that
Latest development is the publishing of an apology from one of the fans to K & O Oystain. Despicable and utterly reprehensible family bullying individuals into submission. Money truly does equal power.
This current situation was predicted a long time ago by many including me. We may have had a 'best trip' in the sun (paid for by somebody else btw) but there was no way NO WAY they were ever going to fund the necessary fundamental things this club has sorely needed for so long. Nobody expected another Holloway miracle but nothing has been taken from it, no improvements have been forthcoming and stabilising as a Championship football club has not been achieved (nor was it a risk to the business according to the last accounts!!).
One agenda and by god are they fulfilling it. Disgusting
