Does anybody have the penalty breakdown stats for Tubby Frank ?
Took 70, scored 60, had 9 saved and put 1 wide.
Also took 10 in penalty shootouts, 8 scored and 2 saved.

So 80 taken, 68 scored, 11 saved and 1 wide.

Why is it that every Chelsea fan claims that they all went before the money came ?

bks were they

Its every single one you ever meet, they are the only fans that seem to have to qualify themselves, was it shakespear that said 'The lady doth protest too much, methinks'...?

As for Frank excellent player made the most of talent and then some, nowhere near as good as Gerrard or Scholes but then not many are. What he was is a fantastic example for kids, proving how far you can go with hard work and dedication.

Don't have to justify myself. BCM called me a JCL so I corrected him on that. Why do Spurs fans think all Chelsea fans are just here for the money. I'm old enough to have seen Chelsea in 1963 but still too young by a couple of years to have seen a decent Spurs side.

With regard to Frank being carried in a top team the truth is Roman and José were ruthless and had loads of money so if Frank wasn't delivering he'd have been chopped for some over hyped European.

You could argue that Messi isn't all that. Poor international record, in a top team in an easier league. It's a fallacious argument.

It's a sobering thought. Given you'd have to be 5 or 6 to start remembering football, you'd have to be aged 62 or over to recall a properly good Spurs team.

And people accuse Chelsea fans of being new to football. When sparky was celebrating his 21'st spurs had already won 3 European trophies in his lifetime... 4 fa cups too laugh

edit Actually I thought he said born in 63, if that's only when he started watching then its even worse laugh

This I agree with, fantastic professional footballer & certainly an excellent roll model for any youngster.

There are terrific stories about him working hard after training trying to become a better player .

Great career decent chap it seems, I just don't rate him as high as some I suppose.

You simply cannot buy history , would be interesting to see what Chelsea had won before the money came.

But you can buy good players, win trophies and make history. Of course you can always sell your best player for £90m, waste it on dross and win fk all.

Of course that's not true though, only if you win the lottery which has happened twice. The rest us have to run ourselves properly.

Scholar / Maxwell ring any bells. You were 5 mins from bankruptcy before a billionaire bailed you out.
