I hope he's going to be fit for the Arsenal game or we really don't stand a chance given our current performances. Although even if he's back he won't be match fit.

Still think we are lacking a decent second striker. Janssen hasn't really impressed me, yes it's early days and he may come good but we can't really afford to wait. Will his first goal spur him onto more now, possibly but it's not guaranteed.

Son after a terrific couple of games seems to have gone off the boil a bit again. I still think we need to be looking for someone in the January transfer window as a compliment\backup for Kane.

Erikson was pretty rubbish on Saturday to be fair.

We also reverted to our infuriating inability to clear the near post man when taking a corner.

We're in the middle of a busy schedule of games which looks like it's taking its toll. If we can still be within touching distance of the top 4 come December that would be a bonus.

We need Kane back. We didn't improve our starting 11 in the summer where everyone of our competitors did.

That said 3 points of the top and unbeaten its hardly a disaster, a much tougher run of games coming up now though.

City's November PL fixtures:

Middlesbrough (H)
Palace (A)
Burnley (A)

Ours:
Arsenal (A)
West Ham (H)
Chelsea (A)

I would not be surprised to see City get 9 points from their games, we'll be lucky to get 4 the way we're playing.

In a funny sort of way that might actually suit us. Goons are in a bit of a false position I think, wham at home is always a great game and one we should win and I cant fking wait to play Chelsea again.

I believe it's made up of the results so far against other teams, for which teams are awarded points, including goals scored for and against, and then compared to other teams. Everyone is then put in order based upon how many points they have.
Sounds like witchcraft to me !

^^^^ This to be honest. We have a really solid first squad which just needed bolstering in a couple of places, unfortunately with the best will in the world, I don't think any of our pre-season buys where sensational.

I'd have preferred if they'd bought a couple of really decent players rather than the 4 second stringers we seem to have ended up with, not a great way to spend £70m IMO.

Have they? lucky to get a point at home v Boro, 94th? minute pen winner v Southampton a game in which they were completely out played. There was another last min goal in another game iirc where it could / should have been ruled out for three separate reasons.

I am sure you could do that with everyone, including you, they certainly look a lot better than last year where they finished 2nd

Come on you've been watching long enough to know that they are currently following the predictable Arsenal pattern.

Early season disaster leads to last minute panic buy - check
Get st together, win lots of games and look good, appear near top of table - check
Finish second in CL group when they should finish first - pending
Get knocked out of CL in Feb/March - pending
Collapse in form just around/after being knocked out - pending
Regain form and look like world beaters when it's too late to win league - pending

I didn't get home till 1am last time. It's only 30 mins on the train from Euston but arrive at Euston at the 'wrong' time and you wait 45 minutes for a train at that time of night. Not going through all that again. The queuing for the tube at Wembley was ridiculous. I thought when they built the new stadium they'd promised to fix the transport issues.
