I love watching Coutinho... fantastic feet and always looking for the quick 1-2 or the through ball.
We'd probably struggle to keep him out of the clutches of Barca if he had a bit more pace
For me, little surprise his improvement in form has coincided with there being some movement in front of him.

Weren't quite a few on here earlier this year saying Coutinho was anonymous and didn't deserve a starting spot?
There was a period at the start of the season he was off form. But he certainly seems to have got his mojo back now... wonderful to watch. For me, little surprise his improvement in form has coincided with there being some movement in front of him.
I freely admit to being a coutinho knocker a few months back, mainly because I didn't think he was consistent enough in his performances. He'd have a great game one week then be anonymous the next. But he has indeed been impressive recently and much more consistent. What is really amazing is that he really only has one trick on the ball, yet he manages to beat the man pretty much every single time! The downside is that he is almost trying too hard to score all the time, resorting to long range efforts.
I'd like to see him develop a fabregas-like game i.e. forget about trying to score and become an assist king instead. He is fantastic at finding that pocket of space 25-30 yards out so he should be using that to find the killer final ball instead of looking to shoot. Perhaps when DS is back he'll have someone to slip passes through to!

Agree - but what we all need to remember with him is he is only 22 - Not many 22 year olds performing at his level at the moment.I'd like to see him develop a fabregas-like game i.e. forget about trying to score and become an assist king instead. Where is the ROFLcopter?

“If Stamford Bridge can give us 25% of the emotion Anfield gives Liverpool, I think we can do it. Liverpool, instead of 40,000 fans, they will have five or 10 (thousand).

Found it funny last night when the Kop chanted where's your famous plastic flags and hey waved their only flag DSLiverpool said:
Ah your young ;o) Barca, Real and even the Newcastle 4-3 but in recent times a few games last season were pretty hyped.
25 Had a season ticket for nearly 10 years when I was a youngster but I don't have the best memory. I went the Newcastle game. Will always remember it. My dads car windscreen was stolen while we at the match
Seen you last night when you were driving down Scotty Road funnily enough.

Certainly a Rogers type player -
Thinking back to what SG said about BR - Coulod you imagine a young SG in a BR team - would be a joy to watch with the freedom he would have given him.
