And this makes me laugh;
'We are a team that tried to win the game, in a sporting manner', is their a law that says you can't play in a defensive manner is not 'sporting' rolleyes

The thing is, that had Ba laid off a few more balls that actually reached someone in a blue shirt, and had Salah and Shirley done the same, we might have had a few more in the back of the net. What would Brendan be saying then?

Got to laugh at Brendan Rogers basically saying Chelsea parked the bus (well, 2, apparently) and are basically predictable.

If it was that predictable....well why didn't they have an answer?
Exactly, surely if you know what the opposition was going to do, you would have found a way around that, we may have parked the bus, but we left with 2 goals & 3 points, Suarez kept quiet.
It's because they only have one game plan, to score more than the other side. Yes it's worked well this season, but now Jose has showed how to defeat it I tihnk they'll be found out both here and in Europe

There was one point where Willian was through and clear on goal and Ba either wasn't physically fit enough to pass it or he was just playing with his eyes closed.

So is it roles reversed Tuesday then, you attack and they defend and try to score on the break?

Athletico aren't a counter attacking side, it'll be interesting to see how Jose lines up.

Example of the pressure that Brendan insists that he isn't feeling?

It's a shame as I quite liked Rodgers, but his post match interview was very revealing. His team were ineffectual, ours played classic counterattacking football and won. Yes Jose was pissed after the West Ham game, and even St Brendan was pissed after this game. Bottom line is, they were both frustrated that they couldn't create a way through, however St Brendan gets no criticism.

How good a starting debut was that. At Anfield, with them top of the league, up against Suarez, and never put a foot wrong. In fact, came closer to scoring than Suarez did!
