Maybe, but when you add in all the off-field shenanigans it seems that Billy has completely lost the plot. He is also completely counter to Fawaz's open, friendly manner.
This is one of my biggest issues with him.In addition his team selections even with an injury ridden squad have been dire.
Why play Cox who is so out of form. Halford as a striker a joke!
Davies wanted Henderson, Bamford would have been much better.
Fawaz watching Bamford must have wondered why did BD not demand we try for him on loan.
The final nail must of been his lack of any shame or ability to be part of that shambles and at least go over an acknowledge he fans and talk after the game.

i was never convinced getting him back was a good idea, and yes it seemed he could do no wrong when we were winning, but then we weren't reading about and seeing a man under pressure and reacting very oddly.
A lot of speculation on my Twitter timeline about Miller going back.
There's two trains of thought. By all accounts, he CAN be recalled by Forest but wouldn't be able to play for his parent club as per the rules & regulations explained below.
Second line of thinking is that Warnock doesn't like Gary Johnson so might do it out of spite. Recently in an interview, Gary was explaining about the two "gift goals" he has given while at Yeovil and said in a similar occasion at Bristol City v Crystal Palaca, a ghost goal was scored but when Warnock asked for a "gift goal", he said he wouldn't because he didn't like Neil...
Anyway, need 27,000 of you to get to the CG tomorrow; need you to demolish Charlton tomorrow night for us, thank you please!!
Loan rules...
53.2.2 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window. Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window (but subject to Regulation 53.2.3 below).
53.2.3 A Player whose Standard Loan expires (or terminates) on completion of his Loaning Club's League Matches will not be eligible to play for his Parent Club (where it is a Member Club) in any remaining League Matches in that Season notwithstanding the fact that such expiry or termination occurs during a Transfer Window.

I think Warnock will have other issues like the fans reacting badly rather than thinking about Miller to be honest. If he does recall him & can't play him, then he really is a tool!
I always called Billy "King Billy" - Wally Warnock has a ring to it!
My phone hasn't stopped this afternoon with my Leeds friends taking the mickey.

Sounds like the Warnock appointment has hit a glitch. Probably around relocation seeing as he lives in Plymouth and his Wife won't move.
not the best business deal to sack billy before getting the contract signed? surely he could ask for anything now as he knows forest are over a barrel?i dont really know about all the goings on backstage but I liked billy. he signed a program for my dad when he was ill. 2 months ago we were nearly top and unbeaten. injuries have ruined things and yes he could have done better but we cant keep chopping and changing i really thought he would be here for a long time.
cant stand warnock but as a manager for 9 games to try and bump us up he's probably a good bet.
Frank Clarke to the end of the season is a good shout.
Far more preferable than Warnock. Why even meet with a club in the E.Mids if you don't want to move?
I wouldn't put petty crap like recalling Miller beyond Warnock either.
Having looked at the team and the bench for Saturday's game against Derby it occurred to me that all the fit midfield players were on the pitch. While they may be good individually, they are clearly not as good together as a midfield with one of two of Lansbury, Reid, Vaughan.
The available midfielders play in a very different way to those available, can you imaging Greening surging forward like Lansbury? The forwards have clearly been affected. In the ideal team Cox or Henderson are asked to drift out of the centre forward position to the wings, dragging defenders with them. That creates gaps for the midfield to surge into. This also means that the forwards are effectively not there to create goals, but gaps. This is why the work rate of Cox (and Mackie to a degree) is actually their greatest asset and should be appreciated in this style of play.
Take away the surging midfield and you end up with forwards on the wing with Pato, Mackey and even the full backs yet no-one in the middle. So when a cross (eventually) comes in there's no-one there and the forwards get the stick for being out of position. They're also being turned into target men, something they've not been training to do for most of the season and something that they might not be great at.
The failure of Billy Davies in the last 8 games (or longer) is that we have not properly adapted the play to create a different system that works. Admittedly with the players available this may have been impossible - square pegs anyone? - but we should have seen some improvement. There has been none.
I don't blame the players though, based on where they had to play, or their place in the pecking order....
You could argue that the talent is there, the talents these players have is not necessarily in the areas that is needed. Simplistically, if you had the 11 best goalkeepers in the world available to you would you play them all? No, you'd drop Joe Hart from the left wing and have a decent left winger there. (I know that's a ridiculous example) Anyway, here are my thoughts on Saturday's team and the square pegs that had to play.
Darlow - First Choice
Jara - playing out of position
Lascelles - Has impressed massively this season but could be seen as a second choice, along with...
Collins(c) - behind Hobbs and Wilson who are the first choice
Fox - Loan player brought in due to injury to Lichaj, so effectively 3rd choice behind Lichaj and Cohen
Moussi (Henderson 46') - didn't get a game until recently and has been in and out of the team in recent wks. Behind Lansbury, Vaughan, Reid depending on formation. Replaced by Henderson, more able to win the ball in the air than Cox but his role in the run was very similar, draw defenders out and create gaps. Arguably 1st choice "striker" but off field issues meant he was in and out of the team.
Greening - until a month ago was Youth team coach, now first choice Centre Mid, how's that for an injury crisis
Majewski - not a BD favourite I don't think, and has never fulfilled his potential. 2nd choice?
Mackie - although he's been in and out of the team recently was in the team a lot during the good run, 1st choice
Paterson (Halford 64') - has been incredibly good and arguably a first choice, but the long run in the team and being relied on to be the creative force has weighed down on him recently, with others fit I think he'd have been rested. Replaced by Halford who is a favourite of BD and suffers because of it. Scored 3 in 3 not so long ago but has had to deputise in defence. A good squad player but 2nd / 3rd choice in most positions
Cox (Derbyshire 79') - an almost ever, present and very good at the job he was supposed to do, the role has changed and the lack of goals has reared it's head again. See my earlier comments. Replaced by Derbyshire who has the work rate but again can't change a game, teams won't be scared of him due to perceived lack of threat as he doesn't score many
Subs
De Vries - (2nd choice)
Harding - Left Back (3rd choice in the position, possibly 4th including Lichaj)
Gomis - Centre Back - acclimatising, 5th choice?
Osborn - No idea. He's made 11 appearances for the U21s though

I would like to place on record my gratitude to Billy Davies for all his efforts as manager of Nottingham Forest Football Club. I wish him all the best for the future.
I am aware many people expect me to announce a new manager imminently, however I must stress the need for patience as I make the important decision of who takes the reins at this crucial stage of the season.
As always I will keep our supporters informed of any developments, but in the meantime I ask everyone to get behind our Academy manager Gary Brazil as he takes charge of first-team affairs until a permanent appointment is made. Gary has carried out some terrific work with our younger players and I am delighted he has agreed to take temporary charge.
Supporters can rest assured the local and national press will have regular access to whoever is appointed as our new manager as, with immediate effect, any bans imposed on members of the media are lifted. I hope the club can now look forward to enjoying a positive relationship with the press.
Finally, I am thrilled to announce our former captain John McGovern has agreed to take on an ambassadorial role with the club. John is a fantastic character with many fascinating tales to tell and I am delighted he has accepted my invitation.
I look forward to seeing all our fans at tomorrow night’s match against Charlton.
Come on you Reds.

Collymore always talks a lot of sense about Forest, he always says "Forest needs Forest men"
McGovern is a good start, Get Frank back. Whats Julian Bennett doing these days?
Also Great news that the Media blackout has been lifted and Radio Nottingham will be allowed back to games and press conferences. Really looking forward to MatchTalk tonight.
There is also a few pictures of Billy boarding a plane flying around on Twitter. Who's going to want to work with him now?!
